Their is a lot of questions unanswered. Going into Brooklyn we need to make an impact and little by little Deron Williams seems to be starting to lean towards the Nets. This is a very good thing because with D-Will, Via trade or FA Dwight Howard will eventually come. I really think we should target ilyasova this offseason. What people don't know about ersan is per 36 minutes he is averaging 17 and 12. If we don't trade Marshon for Howard our lineup would be
PG- D-Will, SG Brooks, SF- Wallace, PF- ilyasova, C- Howard.
Now we can get even luckier we have around a 7% chance of getting Anthony Davis and because we lost the coin flip with the Kings the only picks we can get are 1,2,3,6,7,8,9...... And since our pick is protected 1-3 and 7-.... the only way we lose our pick is if we pick 6th. So we have a 60% chance of retaining our pick now. I like those odds.
So their is lots of stuff to be optimistic about, I think if we get Anthony Davis we shouldn't trade him for Howard..Why? because Howard will just come in 2013 as a FA. We would have to many things for him too turn down.
PG- D-Will, SG- Brooks, SF- Wallace, PF- Davis, C- Howard. And maybe we can trade Irsan, and Brooks for a more defensive SG. We would have the best defense in the league.
Now that I told you all the good positives without even mentioning Brooklyn I will get into a hugely probable negative. The reality is non of this I mentioned may come true. Our teams history is a sign that we may not get this lucky. We may go into Brooklyn with absolutely nothing. Although I must say that argument that Charles Barkley made about Stern rigging the draft for us seems very intriguing. Usually I don't promote cheating too win but Anthony Davis is one hell of a prize. I understand I am making it seem I am 100% sure Anthony Davis will be a star which isn't true. I believe he will be a star and I want him so badly because I envision having a homegrown 19 year old superstar playing along with 3 other stars.
