Not sure if anyone posted anything like this so if you have, forgive the repetition...



I just got back from a Modells store...Here's my convo with the clerk: Me: Any Brooklyn Nets merchandise in yet? Clerk: Yeah, we have 7 big boxes in the back room right now. Me: Can I buy it tonight? Cl: No man, I can't. We were sworn to keep them in the back out of public view until Monday. At 7pm, when I close the store on Sunday, we're putting them on the shelves.. Me: I'll give you $20 extra if you sell me a hat. Cl: I'll get fired. Me: Ok, what kind of stuff are you selling? Cl: I got 3 different hats and 3 different style T shirts..One is black, one is all white. One has a Big B on it in a "cascading" print (Whatever that means?) Me: What did the hats look like? Cl: I don't know, I didnt open the boxes for hats yet but I have 3 different styles... Me: I saw a shirt with black sleeves, grey body and the logo on it..Did you get that one... Cl: No, nothing looks like that. Me: Did the logo look like the one on the internet that was leaked as the new logo. Cl: It is exactly the same thing on the shirts. Me: Did you get any jerseys, sweatshirts? Cl: No, they didnt make jerseys yet. We don't have sweatshirts but maybe our Brooklyn stores are going to. We were not even on the list to get merchandise. I was suprised we got any. Me: Are a lot of people asking about the new Nets gear? Cl: (laughs), no, you're the first that asked me. But I heard our Brooklyn stores are "off the hook", they are bracing for a big day. Me: C'mon man. $20... Cl: Sorry, no can do... Then I thanked him for the info and bought a few old Nets hats for $5 each. THey were selling the D. Williams road jerseys for $20 each and had some slick sweatshirts and t-shirts pretty cheap too... This was in Northern NJ. Be careful what store you go to...He did say "They were not on a list to get merchandise"
