The Nets will still have to get a top three pick to take him, but Thomas Robinson, the 6'10" power forward from Kansas is ready to sign on with the team, although it's uncertain whether he knows the team is moving soon to Brooklyn.
Draftniks generally put Robinson, ESPN's NCAA Player of the Year, at #3 or #4 in the Draft. The Nets, of course, keep their pick only if it falls in the top three.
"New Jersey. I want to go to Jersey," Robinson told the Daily Kansas, the KU campus newspaper. Robinson is a Washington, D.C. native and the Wizards of course are likely to have a top three pick. Ironically, Tyshawn Taylor, the Jayhawks' other first round possibility and a Hoboken native, wants to play for the Lakers.
