The Nets were officially eliminated from playoff contention Tuesday, and they didn't put up much of a fight, losing to the Sixers 107-88 at the Prudential Center.

The Sixers scored just four points in the first seven minutes, but scored 48 in the next 27 minutes and led by nine at the half. It was still a single-digit game midway through the third quarter, but the Sixers blew it open with a 15-6 run and led by as many as 23 in the fourth.

The Nets shot just 38 percent from the field and got outrebounded 53-36. Kris Humphries led them with 20 points and 10 rebounds, but shot just 7-for-18. Deron Williams added 14 points, six rebounds and five assists. Lou Williams led the Sixers with 20 points.

After the game, Williams declined to discuss any details of his Monday chat with Mikhail Prokhorov. “Like I’m going to tell you [the media],” he said, maintaining the secrecy his boss spoke about. The Nets are now 8-3 with their owner in the building.
