I am a long time season ticket holder hailing from Brooklyn. Last night, I could not be more disappointed in the fan support for the Nets and shocked by the outpouring of support for the visiting Clippers. I know many fans came last night to see the Clip show w CP3 and BG but it was unbelievable to me how loud these fans were.
At one point last night, Deron was at the line and missed a free throw. The fans actually cheered him missing a free throw and it was pretty loud for an away team who hails from Cali. That's nuts.
I am real disappointed in the Nets fans this season at the Rock as a whole. Obviously we got the loud and proud section and season ticket holders who are legit fans but overall I totally get Dwills comments about how the home crowd sucks.
As of today the Nets are 5.5 back of the Knicks for the 8th seed. We have done this basically with no natural Center all season, and very little productive play from a SF all season. Perhaps we get D12 in the next 2 weeks or perhaps we move other guys for cap space or a good player. Only time will tell.
Bottom line, we has Nets fans at games need to do what we can to drum up support for our team so the Rock actually has a home feel to it and isn't just a quasi home game for visiting teams.
Last night was a huge home win. Prob the biggest home win of the season. As our schedule shifts more towards more home games we need to come out and support our team.
