Horner's Big Game Leads Armor

Stay connected for news and updates

Dennis Horner isn't mentioned much when writers and fans talk about who might be called up to the Nets, but the 6'9" PF who played five games with New Jersey early in the season is having a big year at Springfield. On Tuesday, Horner scored 29 points on 10-for-15 shooting and hauled in 15 rebounds in a win over the Maine Red Claws.

Horner also hit three of his four attempts from deep and six of eight from the line in the win, which put the Armor within a half game of the East lead in the D-League. Jeff Foote got into early foul trouble and played only 21 minutes, while Jerry Smith, back from a 10-day with the Nets, shot four for 16 for 13 points.
