With the news of Brook Lopez expecting to miss two more weeks and another epic collapse in the 4th quarter, this time against the Hawks, Net fans should just forfeit watching this team for the remainder of the season and look forward to what is expected to be a very BUSY offseason (for the Nets) as the Nets will be looking to start a new era in Brooklyn, New York. It's fair to say that this has been one of most disappointing seasons, since the 12-70 season, that I have personally experienced. From the lockout to the injuries to the underachievement to the head-scratching decisions of Avery Johnson, this season was an absolute DISASTER.
Hopefully, the draft Gods can be good to the Nets and grant our team a top 3 pick. Also, I'm keeping my fingers crossed that Houston ends up in the playoffs so that we will be able to get their 1st round pick as well. I will also be hoping for the Orlando Magic to get an upset in the 1st round so that Dwight Howard can demand a trade in the offseason to the Nets, assuming that D-Will is still with us. If the Nets can end up with at least 2 of the 3 scenarios that I've mentioned above, It'll make me forget all about this disasterous season.
