Mehmet Okur no longer plays for the Nets, having been the big piece in the Gerald Wallace trade. Hobbled by chronic back spasms, Okur played only 17 games after the Nets traded their 2015 second rounder for him in December. On Friday, Okur was waived to make room for J.J. Hickson, who the Blazers picked up off waivers. Okur brings to four the number of Nets players with season-ending injuries, joining Damion James, Keith Bogans and Shawne Williams. Only James remains on the Nets roster.
