I know that two games dont mean anything, especially in the regular season but lets just think about this for a second. Dwight Howard said that he wants to remain with the Magic for the remainder of the season because he feels like the Magic can make a deep playoff run and or win a title. If those two events happen its safe to say that our hopes for Dwight will be gone and he will resign long term with Orlando. He also feels that they can compete with team such as Miami and Chicago in the East and OKC, both LA's and San Antonio in the west.
However, The Magic played the Heat last night and they played the Bulls tonight. In the Heat game they lost by 10, they cut it close but the Heat were too strong for the Magic. And tonight they played the Bulls at home, in which they were embarrassed 86-59. Both games Howard put up solid numbers but again there was little help around him and they couldnt get the job done.
I said it above that two regular season games don't really mean anything, but how will this play out in the playoffs? Are there little messages coming across in these meaningless regular season games that the Magic are NOT title contenders and that he should be traded in the offseason to a team that can supply him with winning? Guess we are going to see how this all plays out in the playoffs because I don't think Brooklyn left his mind so quickly.
