I'm a long-time reader and first-time poster. Please forgive me if you've already touched on this subject, but I had a question for you all:
Does Prokhorov's disappearance--due to his politicking--affect the Nets' chances to land Dwight or other top-notch free agents? As a long-time Nets fan, I was pumped when Proky bought the team, and I believed that he was a major selling point (with Brooklyn, Deron, flexibility and et cetera) for future players.
He hasn't been to one game (if I'm not mistaken) this year; do you think Dwight recognizes this? Is this a better thing: we know that Dwight and Deron want to have major input, and that might be the ideal situation for them if the owner is absent but still has deep pockets... they can basically run the show?
Same goes with Jay-Z. I've been to six games this season, and I haven't seen him there once. Maybe I'm overreacting, but if HOV was there more, wouldn't that be better for the Nets? Does it even matter?
