Ken Berger and others report that the Magic continue to pursue Monta Ellis to appease Dwight Howard, leading discussions on a three team deal that would also move Andrew Bogut from the Bucks to the Warriors. Berger had no details on what the Magic are offering in the proposed talks.
However, there is no commitment from Howard. Berger writes, "Howard remained noncommittal about his future plans Monday," confirming ESPN reports that Orlando management is likely to demand a commitment from Howard on Wednesday and then decide on their --and his-- future Thursday. The trade deadline is 3 p.m. Thursday.
"The most difficult aspect of Bogut going to Golden State in the three-team scenario that would send Ellis to Orlando is Howard's apparent reluctance to commit one way or the other," writes Berger.
