The two teams have spoken, but there's "no type of serious discussions" going on, a person familiar with the situation said.

The Berger report, combined with Mitch Lawrence's report that the Warriors have offered Monta Ellis and David Lee for Howard, could indicate that the Magic is making a last round of calls before it makes its decision on whether to trade the All-Star center to one of his preferred teams or keep him. Still, Berger quotes a "league source" as saying, "He's telling everyone he's leaving."
