Bogdanovic Bounces Back
In the craziness of four games in five days --and the latest round of Dwight Howard rumors-- we missed Bojan Bogdanovic's Euroleague game on Thursday. We're sure he doesn't object. Bogdanovic had his worst game in a month, scoring only three points on 1-for-6 shooting in Fenerbahce's blowout loss to Greek powerhouse Panathinaikos.
But on Sunday, Bogdanovic rebounded nicely in a Turkish League win, scoring 18 points on 7-for-11 shooting, including 4-for-5 from downtown.
His combined 5-for-10 from downtown this week brought his three point shooting since the beginning of the year down to 59.5% (25-for-32). Bogdanovic also handed out three assists for Fener in Sunday's win.

it was a nice draft
"It's as sweet as it ever was, I'll tell you. Now, hopefully, we started something and we can win some more championships, but we're going to enjoy this one right now. Have a little champagne." --Julius Erving, May 12, 1976, ABA champion Nets locker room.
Equivalent...
To about five years of thorn drafting.
Just imagine..
Deron drive’s, passes to Howard, the defense collapses, Bog for 3!!!!!!!!!
Williams might have been Billy's best pick
A productive big in the mid second round is very very rare.
maybe not best pick
Brooks was probably better but all 3 could turn out to be awesome value for their draft slot
Jwil is coordinated and a decent rebounder...
Needs to train a bit with hump.
agree, he's shown already he's tenacious on the glass
he has a nose for the ball alot like Humphries, now we need him to lose some baby fat and add muscle
Has has great hands, soft touch around the basket.

Basically Lakers aren't even a option right now in D12's eyes Kobe ruined it
People around Howard are saying its not if but when he will be a Net, basically a forgone conclusion. Rudolph from real GM is a reporter from Orlando and got the Kobe Dwight phone call, he’s as close as anyone to Dwight. D-will and his relationship has gotten stronger as well, and has done a very good job selling Dwight that he will be the face of the franchise won’t be playing second fiddle like he would with the Lakers. The shaq stuff was a reason as was Kobe basically saying he can come be third fiddle.

I don't love this honestly
As much as it may be tough to move Marion, Marc Cuban has a knack for pulling off some crazy things. I’d rather just lock him up at the deadline and be safe honestly.

It would be much easier for Dwight to join us in Brooklyn
than Cuban making a variety of moves to get both Deron and Dwight in Dallas.

by dwill8brooklynbound on Feb 5, 2012 3:49 PM EST up reply actions
yeah Cuban is the best owner in NBA, but I don't see how him and Nowitski...
…could beat: Brooklyn; Dwil; Brooks; Morrow; Lopez; Lotto Pick; chance to contend for years and years with those young players… If Dwight becomes free agent they don’t have a chance, he will be a Net for sure.
2012 Lineup: D-Will - Brooks - AK47 - Lopez - D12... Book it!
i don't know...remember we would also have a very attractive team with book, marshon
and our lottery pick
dirk MAY not be as elite anymore
Marions contract might be the hardest in the league to trade
Given his age but if he can do it props to him. But I don’t know maybe were selling Brooklyn short this whole globalization thing seems they want it bad.
"We're not there yet, but we're going somewhere," Johnson said. "And we're going to Brooklyn. We're not going to contract. We're going to Brooklyn."
yea he said but that's where he made a mistake the rest made a lot of sence
he said that magic felt that any deal for dwight that’s there now would be there at there in july which is wrong.
overall I liked his approach and the fact that he backed everything that he said with people close to dwight as his sources.
You get him while you can, IMO. If Dallas is not a threat now (obviously), I don't want them to have any chance come summer.
Also, you want D12 to be happy as well with his extra 30 mill.
As some suggested here, they can both pick their option, and then resign on the summer of 2013 giving us about 6 yrs of them playing together.
Losing some picks and B-Lo and what not is worth 100%.

If they keep Dwight after the deadline,
Then we should make a move to get a SF in here and make a run to the playoffs.
Even If we get knocked off in the first round, it’s good experience for next season.
Or tank the rest of the season and get a high lotto pick and get a chance of getting a great player in a heavy draft
Barnes or Gilchrist would fill nicely the SF spot especially M-KG.
2012 Lineup: D-Will - Brooks - AK47 - Lopez - D12... Book it!
by the way
the Kobe phone call story is NOT news, although it has been portrayed as such.
The LA Times broke it on January 19 and to be quite frank on things Laker, I would trust the Times beat writers.
http://www.netsdaily.com/2012/1/20/2720701/bynum-for-howard-nothing-happening
Also, don’t dismiss Berger’s sources saying the Lakers are still in it.

Berger is the only one saying the Lakers are still in it.
The only reason I think NI is telling us not to dismiss the story is because the Lakers may change their minds. But then Dwight would have to change his mind, also.

no, because is a real reporter
as he proved during the lockout.
If you want to put Jarrod Rudolph (who no one here ever heard of before) against Berger, fine, but you’re making a mistake. I’m not saying Berger is right and Rudolph is wrong, but I am saying one has a track record, the other does not.
And if Berger was saying the opposite, people would be praising him.

Berger has as little credibility as anyone
he’s a HACK.
Kerber reported Dwight isn’t that hot on the Lakers.
Heck, Jim Buss hinted Dwight doesn’t want to go there.
you can think that if you want
but i am not going to base my opinion of someone on whether his reporting confirms with my hopes.
I have been told everything that Kennedy has been told, but not by anyone outside the Nets. The Nets are incredibly confident and yet I remain skeptical because 1) I haven’t talked to agents or other teams and 2) things change. Some healthy skepticism should temper people’s hopes.
If the Magic truly, truly believed that Howard was absolutely positively going to opt out in July and leave $30 million on the table, they would make the deal. They still have hope.

I have been watching over the NAS interview with Kennedy.
Kennedy just mentioned how there is NO reporter closer to Dwight than Rudolph. He says that Dwight is often the last person to be interviewed in postgames, and that Rudolph is the ONLY one with Dwight for a good 45 minutes a night.
I think it's fine.
by NetsMets4Life on Feb 5, 2012 4:48 PM EST up reply actions
Why would Kerber have sources in Orlando?
Much more likely that Berger is correct than Kerber. I like Fred, but he’s a Nets beat writer, not a national NBA writer.
I can see it coming down to the last hour of the last day before the trade deadline

ITS A VVVVVVVVVVVVVVCCCCCCCCCCCCCC THREEEEEEEEEE
So Alex Kennedy is saying that
Right now it looks like Magic will hold on to Dwight till the season is over. They want to see if he’s going to leave the extra year on the table, and even if there is a sign & trade, they expect similar offers.
just positioning...
If dwight becomes a free agent…orl lose him for nothing. Everybody knows this including otis.

Go to BBV or the Patriots one (depending on who ur rooting for)
They have game threads
Nets Mets Giants All day Every day.
Beware the Lopez
NY Giants Tribute
So Magic dont want Lopez
this so sounds like OTIS.
VC is Fools Gold only to trade for him a year later.
I say BKing remove Lopez and just give OTIS expiring and picks(2013, 2015, 2017 picks). Maybe Bking is nice and ask another team if they want expiring contract.
SMH!!!! Dwight screw them. Say the MAGIC words. I WANT TO BE A NET!!!!!!
Official member of the "DO NOT TRADE MARSHON "SWAG" BROOKS" Society!

"It's as sweet as it ever was, I'll tell you. Now, hopefully, we started something and we can win some more championships, but we're going to enjoy this one right now. Have a little champagne." --Julius Erving, May 12, 1976, ABA champion Nets locker room.
