For the Nets, the first All-Star events start Friday at 10 a.m. with Rising Stars Challenge practice. Practice will be broadcast on NBA TV. The game, with MarShon Brooks promising a scoring show, starts at 9 p.m. For Brooks, it's already a big night. Most of the players drafted ahead of him at #25 will be at home, not on the court.

Brooks arrived Thursday night, along with the Nets' P.R. contingent (and Sly). Friday morning, the Nets released mix tape of Brooks' highlights, which included not just his scoring but some neat passing, not that passing is his highest priority. He's already said he plans to "play my game and try to score as many points as possible."
