Hump Out, Gaines Questionable, D-Will, Howard Mysterious

PrintKris Humphries, who made the Knicks frontcourt look ill on Monday, will be out with a sore calf Wednesday when the Nets battle Dwight Howard at Prudential Center. Also, the Nets reported that Sundiata Gaines (toe) is questionable but probably will play. On the other side of the ledger, Hedo Turkoglu didn't travel to New Jersey because of illness. Earl Clark and Jason Richardson are questionable.
But the big news out of Wednesday morning was the mystery surrounding the star of the evening, Howard. The object of the Nets affections avoided the media, quickly dashing past them at Prudential Center. And when the Nets beat writers asked Deron Williams if he and Howard had their traditional meal before playing against each other, D-Will responded, "I don't know. Did I?" Meanwhile, Stan Van Gundy just said "No" a lot.
The Nets are also planning a pyrotechnic show for pre-game.

Probably. The only scenario where he doesn’t is if the Nets swing a deal for Dwight Howard at the trade deadline. At that point, I think Williams hangs around. If that doesn’t happen, I think Williams will join Dwight Howard (assuming he’s not traded to the Lakers in March) in Dallas next summer. Lots of signals pointing to this being the preferred outcome for both players.

I feel like he could be a very good player if he masters a mid range game. He reminds me of Jared Dudley, just a little bigger. Williams definitely has the body, but he needs the skill set. I think he could surprise people if he puts the work into his game.

Very worried about tonight’s game.
I’ll be there in Section 22 yelling up a storm but I know the Incredible Hump brings a lot of this team’s energy.
I also saw how little energy Brook Lopez provided on Sunday.
I hope to be proven wrong, especially with Dwight in the building. The Nets strategy for stopping Dwight has to be, DON’T STOP DWIGHT! Don’t worry about it, guys. Stay on the Magic 3 point shooters like a glove and let Dwight have his points.

my cousin used to do this trick where he would put alcohol on his hand then light it on fire and waved it off real quick before the alcohol burned off. lmao had no hair on his hands
I put lighter fluid in my mouth...
and then was going to blow it out on a open flame, to get that flame thrower effect, but I started laughing and thef fluid dripped out of my mouth and next thing you know my face lit up like a torch…I was in shock by my cousin slapped the heck out of my face just in time…I think he actually enjoyed that part a little too much. No, Hump was playing and moving fine couple of days ago. He said he wasn’t hurt after the Knicks game. Hump should play. Pros shouldn’t be taking days off.

Avery said he’s been playing injured this whole time. He played injured against the Knicks. He just couldn’t go today. If he went out there and made the injury worse, he would be shelved for the season along w/ Shawne and the others. If you can’t play, then you can’t play. Nothing unprofessional about the coach ruling you out for the game.
Hump mentioned nothing of injury during his ESPN interviews. He also showed no sign of it.
As a fan, this worries me. He injured himself doing something outside of Basketball.

you don't know whay goes on in the locker room. Just because he might not look hurt on the floor, doesn't mean that he isn't hurt.
Hump is a tough guy, and can play through pain. But you can’t do it all the time. Walsh probably advised him not to play tonight’s game, and Walsh is an experienced trainer who has been around for many years. If there’s one person i’d listen to about whether a guy should play or not play, Tim Walsh is that one guy. He knows what he’s doing. You aren’t in a position to question him.
I hope you're right because Hump showed no sign of injury during the Knicks game.
Just like how the team said they were tired for Bucks game but fired up for Knicks game. They were saving it for the games they want to look good in. That’s not a winning formula and looks really bad for the coach.

im 3 months post op from an ACL surgery.
today at physical therapy , they had me doing the crab walk with resistance bands
on my ankles. i couldnt stop laughing because i was thinking of Outlaw.
