Remembering Drazen's Competitiveness
John Brennan, who covers sports business for The Record, was a Nets beat writer during the Drazen Petrovic Era.
With Anthony Morrow deciding to don Petrovic's No. 3 for the Three Point Shootout, Brennan recalls how competitive Petrovic was, even in a meaningless game.

RIP Petro
My favorite player of all time. I was 12 when he passed away. One can only wonder how great he could have been. My favorite memory was when he and MJ were going back and forth in the 92 Olympics. Petro definitely was holding his own against the GOAT. He played with no fear. You want the definition of ultimate swag? That was Drazen.

you are missed & remember, Drazen
Never seen a player since who played with such contagious enthusiasm. One of a kind.

Even though Drazen died a young, tragic death...
I always smile and and feel good inside when I hear his name mentioned…
Guys like Petrovic never really leave us…
