Lost in monstrous games by Deron Williams and Kris Humphries Monday was a return to form by MarShon Brooks.
Brooks had his best game since missing nine out of 10 games with a sore achilles and a broken toe, scoring 18 points on 7-for-15 shooting, including 2-for-5 from downtown. And with Jordan Farmar out, Brooks handled point guard duties for while, dishing out four assists.
Tuesday, the rookie was on ESPN 1050 talking about the game and his and the team's future. Asked about being included in a Howard trade, Brooks responded, "There's going to be a lot of rumors. I've got enough to worry about. I can't really worry about Dwight and Orlando."
As for whether Wednesday's game against the Magic is a big game, Brooks said, "Every game is a big game for us. This is our last season in Jersey and we don't want it to be a lost season." He also revealed his plans for the Rising Stars Challenge at All-Star Weekend, ""I'm going to go out there and play my game and try to score as many points as possible."
