Armor Crushes First Place Energy
The Springfield Armor are for real. The Nets' D-League affiliate won their seventh straight game, crushing Eastern Conference-leading Iowa Energy for the second time in two nights. While Thursday night's game was somewhat close for a while, Friday's was a 32-point blowout, right from the beginning. The Armor are now 20-13, a half game out of first. The 20 wins match the number of victories Springfield had in the two years before the Nets took over.
The Armor had eight players in double figures, led by ex-Net Dennis Horner's 25 and 11. Jerry Smith (21 points), L.D. Williams (16 points, 4 steals), Damian Johnson (13 points, 3 blocks), Jeff Foote (12 points, 8 rebounds), JamesOn Curry (12 points, 7 assists, 0 turnovers), Eugene Spates (12 points) and Preston Knowles (11 points, 7 rebounds) all scored in double figures.

I'm hating on anyone who's winning, Yeah that's including our D-League team.
That’s like hating on your brother when he’s winning and you’re losing like heck!!!

It's d league...who cares?
I’m a nets fan, not an armor fan…I can just picture Nets executives high fiving over the Armor’s run yelling “Dynasty!”
What are you going to do about these pathetic Nets?

you have no clue as what the Nets are trying to do in Springfield
it will be my job to educate you this weekend.

No I don't...
I just hope whatever it is helps the Nets. I cant possibly be excited about a d league team. Really worried this season is going to sour Deron so badly on the Nets, he leaves to Mavs with Dwight. A losing culture is a hard thing to shake and It’s a lot easier for deron to just start fresh somewhere else. This team has shown no promise.

one other thing
did someone here predict Nets colors will be red and black?

You hearing those are the colors?

not saying that

I like what I'm hearing. Bulls colors are extremely popular.
Also the opposite of the Knicks Blue. Red may have been proky’s idea. Soviet color. The Bloods will be all over that as well.

Huh...I am really trying to figure out what these uniforms will look like.
Figured it would eb Jay-Z blue…and then the person who worked on them mentioning that something has to do with the court….and then black and red?
I think it's fine.

I've said before I thought they would replace blue with black.
Back in ’09 the team removed all traces of blue from their website and replaced it with black. I figured it was a subtle move in the Brooklyn scheme of things.

What I wouldn't give for it to be '03 again
What interesting is that the Armor is using Avery's playbook
and winning. While Avery is using Avery’s playbook and losing.
the Armor had has the most stable roster in the D-League

No it doesnt prove that
Its Avery’s responsibilty to make the players play hard. It really doesnt seem like he does much to do that. After every game, “our guys are warriors, they battled out there, im really proud of them.”

If his methods are working
i dont see how you can’t blame it on our lack of players

One of those guards will probably be taking Farmars minutes after the trade deadline
When Farmar is probably dealt.
"We're not there yet, but we're going somewhere," Johnson said. "And we're going to Brooklyn. We're not going to contract. We're going to Brooklyn."
