Morrow Favored in 3PT Shootout
The bookmakers have spoken and Anthony Morrow is a 5-2 favorite to win the three-point shootout at the All-Star Game. James Jones and ex-Net Ryan Anderson are both 3-1 while the other three participants, Kevin Love, Joe Johnson and Mario Chalmers are all 6-1.
In the slam dunk contest, the Knicks' Iman Shumpert is a heavy favorite at 3/2. Paul George is 2-1, Derrick Williams at 3-1, and Chase Budinger, 5-1.
- Odds Favor Iman Shumpert To Win Then Paul George - Tom Lewis - Indy Cornrows

A new wrinkle in this years contest is that the contestant has to dribble 3 times before shooting
Morrow has now been mathematically eliminated

yup
the fix is in. the nba knows this and that is why they are allowing it.
I love the Nets...too bad they don't love me...
well,if shumpert doesn't make the final 2, he won't make it to fan voting

it's only one round this year
"Rooting for the Yankees is like rooting for Steve Jobs to win the lotto." - Chris Rock
Patrick Ewing - The NBA's all-time leader in rushing yards
just like last year with Blake
I bet they wont even credit the dunk they will credit a pass from Lin lol
as soon as lin passes it the crowd will go crazy
and the judges will put up tens
Ya, Shumpert is basically a lock, he should just do lay ups, he'd still win
Dwight and Deron = Win
New York Giants Super Bowl XLVI Champions
The best thing that could happen is that he sucks so badly that they won't be able
to pull something like again. If he wins even though he is a lot worse thn the others the show will be exposed.
curious
how would a fan voting 3 point contest work?
He said he feels like he could play tonight
My guess is he’ll play soon, most likely before ASG unless they play it safe, but if he’s ready I don’t see why he wouldn’t get a few minutes here and there.
he's ready, net's are just taking it cautiously
from rotoworld:
Lopez is practicing with the team and going through pregame warmups. He says he feels like he’s ready to play. But the Nets are exercising extreme caution. “I ask every day,” Lopez said. “They just, pretty much just shake their heads and walk away.” There’s no firm target date yet.
u need a billion friends to help u out just to cancel out China.
Y even call it a challenge if u let the fans vote just call it a popluarity contest. Shumpert won before it even started. Who needs a Kia when you have a Lin.

If the judges were voting I'd pick Derrick Williams
And of course I’m picking Morrow in the three point contest
Dwight and Deron = Win
New York Giants Super Bowl XLVI Champions
I'm not a big fan of the participants in the dunk contest
It doesn’t seem like they’ll have any great dunks but I hope I’m wrong. Last year’s contest was great excet for Blake winning with that simple dunk.
Can someone post in this thread the rising stars draft, as will get going?
because the game thread will be heavy….
2012 Lineup: D-Will - Brooks - AK47 - Lopez - D12... Book it!
This Dunk contest should be one of the most entertaining in a while. Blake was nice, but he is a much better in game dunker. Shumpert and George are pretty amazing contest dunkers. I must have hit replay at least 10 times with Georges’ 360 between the legs dunk on Twitvid.
Its just a shame that the vans get to vote. Should be entertaining either way between those two.
"LeBron puts up great numbers, can't close w/o DWade. LeBricked 3 late 3s when shouldve been driving, getting to line. What else new?"
Yet casual basketball fans think he is a God, and would exhaust their entire squads to land him...
i think
if they want to include the fans, they should get a pool of players that want to be in it and let the fans decide which four get to compete. then have the contest be judged. enough of this popularity contest bs.
