After a seven-year absence, with time spent overseas and in the D-League, Andre Emmett returned to the NBA Wednesday night and because of the team's injuries, saw immediate action. In 15 minutes, the 6'5" Emmett put up four points on 1-for-3 shooting, grabbed a rebound and blocked a shot.
In an interview before the game, Emmett told Ben Couch he had been accepted by his new teammates and noted that he had played in high school with Deron Williams. Like D-Will, Emmett is a Dallas product. As to what he can bring, Emmett described his game this way: " I've always been a slasher, a stretch-floor shooter. Hopefully I'll bring some energy on defense, get some stops so we can get transition buckets on offense."
