Nets Announcer Going Home
Nets fans are getting familar with David Diamante's calls at Prudential Center. The Brooklynite with the dreads took over P.A. duties this season and has developed a few signature calls already. But Diamante's voice is likely to get (even) richer next season when he'll be calling games at Barclays Center, then retiring to his cigar lounge a few blocks away.
"It's going to be electric vibe in that Barclays Center," Diamante says sitting in one of his lounge's big leather chairs. And he adds, he can hardly wait for what will happen after games. "I think we going to have some great after-parties, pre-parties, post-parties."

what’s the difference between after-parties and post-parties?

KOBE BRYANT IS/WAS/WILL ALWAYS BE BETTER A BETTER BASKETBALL PLAYER THAN STEPHEN GRAHAM.
Adam Morrison got his team multiple championships barely trying, if that's not a great player...I don't know who is.
Post-parties meaning postseason parties, when we're killing it in the playoffs...
after-parties meaning after the NBA Finals, when we’ve swept OKC.

He meant pre-parties, post-parties, hotel lobbies, then round about four you gotta clear the lobby, then take it to the room and freak somebody.

Question: Who is your favorite PA announcer in the league?
I would say Mason. Though I really like Ralph Wesley (Wizards).

Think he'll be even better next year.
Not just cause were going to Brooklyn but rather that by then, he would have worked out all the kinks of being a first year NBA pa announcer. He is going to be a lot more comfortable which will only show in his voice and enthusiasm.

In the time it took me to read that headline and start reading the blog post, I...
1. Assumed Ian Eagle was leaving
2. Saw the pic of Diamante and thought he was quitting the team
3. Got worried about people posting about how this means Deron would want to leave a joke franchise
4. Wondered if this would hurt us in getting Dwight.
…I hate this season

What does the Nets cap situation look like this coming summer with the assumed Dwight trade?
Also, how far can a team with this starting lineup go?
Deron
Ammo
Bogdanovic
Humphries
Dwight
Stephen A says his sawces point to Howard ending up in Jersey BEFORE the deadline
My guess= Right after Allstar game
On another note, I got an interesting fortune cookie...
No harm in putting all your eggs in one basket – just watch it closely.
Reminds me of our Dwight situation…
Lucky numbers: Shawne Williams, Dan Gadzuric, Mehmet Okur, Kris Humphries, Keith Van Horn, Sean Williams
Dwight Howard wouldn't start over Johan Petro
LMAO
This made me think of this from ESPN: http://espn.go.com/espn/page2/story/_/id/7032439/brooklyn-nets-market-team-borough-thriving-hipster-community

MarShon Brooks has the dreaded.

More like Johan Petro plays basketball ironically…
Gets the ball 2 feet from the rim
Is 7 feet tall
Doesn’t dunk the basketball

Going to Nets at Heat, got upper level but will upload pictures
Lol it's ridiculous
I’m happy for the kid, it’s a great story but once teams learn that he can’t drive or finish with his left hand, he’s done. And i can’t imagine how happy the freaking NBA is, making a crap load of money off of having Lin play well.
This man is very very cool
I sat next to his girlfriend during one of the games against the Hawks, and she introduced me to him briefly after the game. Very nice people! I can’t wait ti chill at his cigar lounge after games next year!
Nets signed Andre Emmet from the D League.

DAVID DIAMANTE
First Impressions …
Are we witnessing the devolution of America?
I realize this is ALL ENTERTAINMENT.
But if DIAMANTE walked into my office and applied for a job wearing dreadlocks.
I would throw him out on his #%^&^%$ ear.
Of course – if he was looking to play opposite Schwarzenegger in PREDATOR – he’s my guy.
I bet he sells Dutches at his cigar bar.

I'm not a fan so far
He has a good voice, but he brings little added excitement to the game. Granted, there’s not much to get excited about, but some games it seems like he’s phoning it in.
