Morrow in Three-Point Contest
Anthony Morrow will join Deron Williams, MarShon Brooks and three Springfield Armor players at All-Star Weekend, finally getting an invite to the game's three-point shooting contest.
"I’m really excited man – ecstatic,’’ Morrow said in a telephone interview this afternoon with Colin Stephenson. "This morning my agent called me and told me they’re going to invite me. I’m really excited, and thankful for the opportunity.’’
Deron Williams, of course, is an All-Star reserve. Brooks will play in the Rising Stars Challenge. JamesOn Curry and Jerry Smith, who were in training camp with the Nets, along with Jeff Foote, will play in the D-League Game.
Morrow has long wanted to test his mettle in the contest. He has the second best career three-point shooting percentage in NBA history, only percentage points behind Steve Kerr. Morrow is hitting 42 percent from 3-point range this season. He hit a career-high eight triples and scored a career-high 42 points in a Feb. 3 loss to Minnesota.
- Nets' Anthony Morrow is invited to NBA All-Star Weekend 3-point shooting contest - Colin Stephenson - Star-Ledger

If it’s D.Stern, I’m reading that he wants Morrow showcased to ORL.

Nobody can root against Morrow. He was the original Jeremy Lin in that he was undrafted and posted 37 in his first NBA start.

New York Giants Super Bowl XLVI Champions
Congratulations Anthony Morrow
Last year’s snub to the 3 point contest was horrible. This year I’m glad you were finally given props. Not bad for one of the top 5 worst teams in the NBA, we have 3 people heading to the ASG weekend.
Marshon Brooks, Dwight How….sorry I meant Dwill and Anthony Morrow.
I’m hoping Dwight hasn’t changed his mind for whatever reason to sign with the Nets. Since the math has all been worked out in previous articles, it really makes the most sense for Dwight to walk in FA and sign to the NJ / Brooklyn Nets.
And if houston makes the playoffs we have (2) 1st round picks in what is supposed to be a stocked draft. imagine that.

About time really. dude is 2nd in nba history in 3pp never been in three point contest!
watch both Brooks and Ammo’s value go up after the ASW
and we ship them both to orlando
man, i know all of you keep saying get dwight and dwill first and worry about the rest later. but we’ve seen that route go down ie. Knicks. They caught a gem in Lin if he continues to produce at that level but we’re not so lucky. that format does NOT work, we cannot give up the entire farm for them.
we have to keep at least brooks OR morrow, and 1st round pick. Everyone else except Dwill is trade-able. that is it in my opinion.

It's about time.
MarShon Brooks has the dreaded.
"I’m anxious to see if they make the same mistake twice." - Shaq talking about the Magic.
Ahah, backup plan to steal Lin from the the Knicks if we lose Dwight and Deron is a real possibility...
Look at this link:
http://www.nypost.com/p/sports/knicks/phenom_success_could_prove_too_costly_C46p9MIYwStPOQScI05agK
It seems Knicks don’t have the early bird rights of Lin. So if he really becomes a star it will be possible to grab him.
2012 Lineup: D-Will - Brooks - AK47 - Lopez - D12... Book it!
would Lin really be good
in Avery’s “system”?
by MrDollarBills on Feb 13, 2012 6:26 PM EST up reply actions
If we lose the Dwightmare and consequently Deron....
and Lin continues to dominate even with Amare and Melo, that’s defnitely a good backup plan.
2012 Lineup: D-Will - Brooks - AK47 - Lopez - D12... Book it!
yes this seems accurate...
Beck of NY Times was tweeting about it. $5 mil will be the most a team can offer him. Knicks can match, but would need to use up their MLE.

Raymond Felton……
Lin is a product of D’Antoni’s system as far as i’m concerned. Put him somewhere else, and he will be exposed for what he actually is.
by domininaldo1981 on Feb 13, 2012 6:46 PM EST up reply actions
for us to even think about backup plans makes it seem like we’re not confident in getting dwight and even if we do miss out why would we go after Lin. i mean he’s doing right now but the season hasn’t even finished yet. you don’t know what the product is going to look like in a month but yet we’re already planning to get him if all else fails?
actually
in terms of being a “international” team moving to brooklyn with 250k chinese people, his now infamous fame over in Asia, yeah he’d be plan to pickup regardless. backup PG to DWill sounds good and we know he can run an offense. Better than farmar can. Of course the Dantoni system is why he’s doing so well but still, consider this:
I’m going out on a limb and say Jeremy Lin will be a starting allstar next year. same reason why yao ming was voted and couldn’t even play.
He would do more for the nets OFF the court than on, but still worth having.
we pay farmar 4 million, we can pay Lin 4 mil. if anything to at least get the knicks to use up their MLE to keep him if they do.

Shawne Williams is Killing the Nets in 2012
Over the last six games, all losses, Shawne Williams has taken 43 shots, over seven per game, and made just 20.9% of them. Even worse, Shawne Williams has taken 21 threes over the last six games, and made just four of them (19.1%). Shawne has averaged 27.2 minutes per game over the six losses.

so why not play like underdogs and come out fighting, these guys have no energy they are just lazy

AVERY!
He is a good coach! It’s the players to me! When we get brook back you all will see that he isn’t the problem! Every player we happen to sign gets injured! He’s better than lawrence frank! Its not like we are losing buy 25 or more like last year!! Avery lead dallas to the finals and with the right talent he can do the same for the nets!
