It's Official: Bogans Out for Year
Keith Bogans is done for the year, the Nets announced Monday after surgery on his left leg. He is expected to make a full recovery by the time camp opens in October. Bogans suffered a complete tear of his deltoid ligament and a broken ankle while to stop a Greg Monroe drive after Kris Humphries let Monroe go by him.
The Nets terms the surgery by foot specialist Dr. Martin O'Malley and team orthopedist Dr. Riley Williams III "successful". It took place Monday morning at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York. Bogans had just signed with the Nets in the days prior to the injury.

It's Hump's fault!

The whole angle botheres me.
Sometimes guys blow by you. It happens all the time, even when you try to gameplan for players. Bogans could have injured himself countless times during the game. He simply jumped and landed wrong. Hump made a mistake defensively, but to publicly blame an injury on another player (who has played his heart out for you for going on 2 seasons) is weird and sad.
so which is it
Nets fans want Avery to hold poor defensive play accountable or would prefer excuses?

Accountability is one thing...
Flat out blaming one guy for injuring a teammate is another.

The whole team is bad.
Our star PG can’t keep a guy in front of him. Our perimeter players are giving wide open shot after wide open shot. Don’t gloss over that every single time and give countless excuses for that, but then blame an injury on a player. That’s irresponsible.
Great point.
Makes you wonder if Avery is nothing more than a 2…maybee 2.5 season guy with the Nets. It was totally irresponsible, something that you leave out of any media contact even if you do feel it.
Then again he could just be slowly losing his mind like the rest of us. After all, DWill is the worst point guard in the NBA (right?) and should be traded for Russell Westbrook because he rolled his eyes on the bench …right?
"Mercer pushes it, Buford streaking, the dish...OOOOOOOOOH A MAN'S JAM!!!!"
Classic NETS.
Hump doesn't have that great a BB IQ...
but Avery has less Coaching IQ and Emotional IQ (by the way he blamed Hump)…

Nets undefeated in the Dwight Howard era

regardless
I hope he will be healthy and better next year. I saw that injury and it was terrible. Wish the best for him.
If you want to stay healthy
avoid signing with the Nets
Any word about his roster spot?
Nets need a SF immediately. I’d bet that Bogans is better TODAY than Shawne Williams has been so far this season.
no cuts, King said
combined James and Bogans can fetch a player making $2.7 million. Doubly valuable because 1) they are expiring deals and 2) because insurance will pay 80% of their salary.
Dont forget: big trades are often not one big trade, but smaller trades bundled together. Helps to have assets.
Finally, the Nets thought Larry Owens was the best SF in the D-League, so as now why move them? Is there someone out there who they would bring in and make a difference?

Question for Net Income or anybody who else who knows the answer.
Does Insurance pay the remaining salary for players when they are out for the rest of the season with an injury?

Hmmm
I would like the Nets to go after Bonzi Wells or Larry Hughes. I think either of them would be good additions to the team. Which one would you prefer?
He was up so high his head is almost at the rim
Tough luck g/b.
