DeShawn Stevenson Out At Least Two Weeks; Petro And Morrow Out Wednesday

Before Wednesday's game against the Pistons, Avery Johnson told reporters that DeShawn Stevenson and his sore right knee will be shut down for two weeks. He'll be reevaluated at that point.

Johan Petro (stomach virus) and Anthony Morrow (ankle) will also miss Wednesday's game, leaving just eight Nets available to play. That includes Keith Bogans, who will play a minimum of 12 minutes. Jordan Farmar will start in Morrow's place.

If morrow was in his right position he would not have gotten hurt. Instead of staying in his spot going after the rebound while the big men boxed out he ran up the court than had to come back.

Oh pissing blimey there's jam coming out of the walls!

by TWilliAM on Feb 1, 2012 6:52 PM EST up reply actions

Lol I feel like Stevenson has done a pretty good job on our team.

He’s been a good leader but ya his shot is really bad. I hope Bogans will do good also but Chicago had one of the weakest SG positions in the league last year and bogans was starting. Both of the players don’t seem to make too much of an impact though. I hope I’m proven wrong anyways

by Nick Tortoise on Feb 1, 2012 6:55 PM EST up reply actions

Being a good leader is fine. I won't (and can't) dispute that.

But Stevenson hasn’t been productive. Bogans has been undervalued because of his PPG numbers. Despite the fact that Stevenson had one of his better seasons in years with the Mavericks in 2010-11, Bogans still outproduced him by a wide margin.

It’s not close. If you want to win games, you play Bogans.

KOBE BRYANT IS/WAS/WILL ALWAYS BE BETTER A BETTER BASKETBALL PLAYER THAN STEPHEN GRAHAM.

Adam Morrison got his team multiple championships barely trying, if that's not a great player...I don't know who is.

LOL at blaming Morrow's injury on Hansbrough being white.

This board is hilarious.

2011-2012 season prediction: 22-44

And I'm fine with that. One of the original leaders of the "Dwight Howard, not Nono Hilario" movement.

by BigTom on Feb 1, 2012 7:11 PM EST reply actions

I blamed it on Hansbrough being reckless

and then i wondered why white guys with no athletic talents try to make up for it by playing recklessly…

it's not that he's white

It’s that he’s a “white boy”. Subtle distinction, but one you know if you’ve ever played pickup

Brown would have been like “MY GOD, Timmy Walsh, WHAT THE **** ARE YOU DOING!!!! Every time a player comes back from injury, another one goes down with a different injury!”

Fire Johnson and hire Van Gundy - I'm telling you Thorn was smoking something when he let Van Gundy slip away in the night.

Dropping like flies.....

I can’t believe the injuries that we are incurring this season. I am consistently surprised that each day, I don’t hear from Billy King. I can’t believe we will miss Petro tonight. Avery must be flippin out over the fact that more than half his top 12 players are out injured.
