Gerald Wallace out against the Spurs with a bruised knee

Stay connected for news and updates

The Brooklyn Nets announced that Gerald Wallace will not play tonight against the Spurs due to a bruised left knee. It doesn't sound all that serious, but seems as if rest will do him some good, especially with this being their third game in four nights.

In his place, Reggie Evans will start at the four. It seems as if P.J. Carlesimo likes having Evans play alongside Brook Lopez, as we saw on Saturday night, though I don't think he likes having to do so at the expense of not having Wallace in the lineup.

Kris Humphries will also sit, due to an abdominal strain.
