Debby Wong-US PRESSWIRE
When Avery Johnson joined the Nets in 2010, he had the highest winning percentage of any active coach. He was also fastest to get to 100 wins. He took one team to the NBA Finals and another to the best regular season record (67-15) since the Michael Jordan Era. Of course, he did all that when he was working with Dirk Nowitzki rather than Johan Petro.
Now, after the Nets most successful November EVER (there's that word again), Avery Johnson is back. He was named Eastern Conference Coach of the Month for November in the East, out battling Mike Woodson of the Knicks. It's the fourth Coach of the Month honor for Johnson, seventh for a Nets coach ever. No surprise, in the West, Lionel Hollins of the Grizzlies got the nod.
