The Armor announced Tuesday that they have acquired forward Andrew Lovedale from the Austin Toros in exchange for guard Stefan Bonneau. It's Springfield's second trade in two days. The Nets' D-League affiliate also acquired Ben Uzoh, the former Net, on Monday.
"I’m extremely happy that we were able to add Andrew to our roster," said Armor coach Bob MacKinnon. "He’s an excellent defender and rebounder in the frontcourt and someone I look to come in and challenge for a spot on our roster and make us a better team through his defensive presence and knowledge of the game."
Lovedale, 6'8" and 235 played at Davidson with Stephen Curry. He earned All-Southern Conference honors in 2009. He averaged 12.5 points and 8.6 rebounds for the Elite Eight team. He was selected in the third round (47th overall) in Friday’s D-League Draft. Lovedale spent the 2011-12 season with Quimper UJAP in France NM-1, appearing in 19 games and averaging 10.8 points and 6.3 rebounds in 26.4 minutes.
