Springfield Armor start replenishing roster

Jared Wickerham

Milton Lee, Bob MacKinnon and Chris Carrawell will be in Springfield Friday night for the annual D-League draft, an eight round affair that's held by conference call. The Armor, unless they make a trade, have the #14 pick in the first round. The Armor will select 14th in each of the eight rounds of the draft, and will also have the 13th pick in the second round because of a trade last year.

As the picks are made, MacKinnon announces them to season ticket holders at a downtown Springfield hotel. The draft pool includes former NBA players, including those cut this week; international professional players; undrafted college players, NBA D-League veterans whose rights are not held by other D-League teams and National Tryout players.

The Armor announced their training camp roster on Thursday, which includes Carleton Scott and James Mays, cut by the Nets last week. Others on the camp roster include two returning Armor players from last season: Jamar Brown and Jonathan Thomas. Also, the Armor invited two players they found at open tryouts.

Carleton Scott: Scott (6-8, 218, Notre Dame) joins the Armor as an Affiliate Player, having attended the Brooklyn Nets 2012 training camp.
