Help With Basketball Essay!

I was assigned to write an essay about an ethical issue within a community. I decided to write about the basketball community and came up with the ethical issue of loyalty and trading (sounds dumb but makes sense if I explain).

Yes, basketball is a business, but players' emotions do have an effect on their game. All last year Brook Lopez and MarShon Brooks were haunted by trade rumors. I am trying to find a quote that proves that the trade rumors did have an effect on their mental health as well as basketball performance. I vaguely remember an article where Brook was talking about how he was happy the trade rumors were behind him. An example from the players afraid of being traded during the 12-70 season would be helpful too. Is it ethical to be viewing these players as merely pawns or as human beings?

The loyalty part of the essay is going to deal with free agency. I think I am going to use Lebron leaving Cleveland as my main example, but I could use D-Will too. Any potential quotes about D-Will and loyalty to this franchise would be great. I could also do a comparison between him and Lebron. Is it ethical to leave your team you have been loyal to for 7 years, not to mention it's your hometown, or is making the best personal decision for himself justified?

Any other suggestions would be great. Whether you think my idea is terrible or amazing, any feedback is helpful. I am only in the preliminary stages so it is pretty rough. Thanks.
