Tyshawn Taylor played well in the Nets last preseason game, tallying 10 points and two assists in leading the Nets 17-5 comeback in regulation. In fact, the 22-year-old taken at #41 in the draft (with a pick purchased from the Trailblazers) has impressed since summer league. Here's what Avery Johnson said of him Friday:

"Quick feet, quick hands. He’s not scared. [He’s] tough … pretty good on-the-ball defender. Now he’s not fooling around with trying to shoot three’s, so he’s shooting his shots. His shot is 14-16 feet, and he’s pretty good. He’s crafty at getting to the basket … we had one little hiccup in the game, but the kid plays hard, and he’s been coming on strong, both in practice, and I thought he played pretty good in the game."

As Tim Bontemps reports, with D-Will out for two practices, Taylor's getting reps he wouldn't normally get. "Actually, it was great today because it gave Tyshawn a chance to practice the whole practice," said Johnson. "C.J. (Watson) had missed some time in practice and they didn’t have a substitute. The playing time for those guys was beneficial."
