Adam Morrison got his team multiple championships barely trying, if that's not a great player...I don't know who is.

You should be Brooks has played like 9 games

"We're not there yet, but we're going somewhere," Johnson said. "And we're going to Brooklyn. We're not going to contract. We're going to Brooklyn."

by Atronic on Jan 9, 2012 8:37 PM EST up reply actions

I guess you should trade Deron for Jeff Teague then

"We're not there yet, but we're going somewhere," Johnson said. "And we're going to Brooklyn. We're not going to contract. We're going to Brooklyn."

No GM feels that way

"It's as sweet as it ever was, I'll tell you. Now, hopefully, we started something and we can win some more championships, but we're going to enjoy this one right now. Have a little champagne." --Julius Erving, May 12, 1976, ABA champion Nets locker room.

You take Marshon (and it isn’t close).

But we have years and years of data telling us that DWill is really good.

I’ll take Marshon for 100, Bob

yea derons such a diva...marshon is just loving that he gets to play

and he’s playing well..hes also got 5 years on deron and the potential to be a dwade type guy

by trippy on Jan 9, 2012 8:37 PM EST via iPhone app reply actions

Deron is awful on his defensive rotations

Why is he going back to his man? MarShon switched off, Deron didnt rotate, boom wide open three. Saw this early in the game too, Was supposed to rotate onto Smith, and just ignored it, left him wide open. He’s being lazy.

by nets14 on Jan 9, 2012 8:38 PM EST reply actions

The entire team is awful on rotations

without practice they cant rotate as a team

well if he was just playing terribly, i could handle it

and I’ve been the biggest defender of dwill, but his attitude on the court and on the bench has really started to piss me off…hes a freakin nba player. hustle back on dwill, stop with all the whining and not caring on the bench. his attitude sucks during a game

he is a competitor just like any other nba plyaer. he doesnt want to look bad, so he wouldnt throw games like that

he’s just not trying that hard. He played harder for Beskitas than he is for us.

by TWilliAM on Jan 9, 2012 8:46 PM EST up reply actions

Stupid shots?

He’s missing shots he normally makes. Layups. Medium range jumpers off the bounce. Open threes.

Personally, I don’t think he’s 100% healthy.

Oh pissing blimey there's jam coming out of the walls!

by TWilliAM on Jan 9, 2012 8:49 PM EST up reply actions

Main reason for open threes

The Nets are awful on rotations, thats their problem

Look at the Suns with Nash

They have a roster similar to ours, full of role players. But they’re pretty good. Why? Because Nash is there to lead and guide them. And I never heard Nash complain about how bad the team or this or that. He just goes out there and plays the game, like a true professional. Hope D-Will could be more like Nash, attitude-wise..

When Lopez gets back our lineup should be and always be:

Lopez
Hump

The guy has no offensive game. He is as bad as petro.

by NetsYankee on Jan 9, 2012 9:41 PM EST reply actions

Petro is bad?

Please.

WHEN YOU DESCRIBE the prototypical NBA center, he is not complete without superlative size, strength and athleticism. He’ll fight for the tough rebounds in the trenches, but is just as quick to burn you with a shot from 15 feet.

Johan Petro possesses all of these skills and more, and bears all the promise of fulfilling his vast potential.

Deron has to hit some of his shots, and Shawne has to stop being so hesitant. Ammo played alright, and MarShon played terrific for the most part. Some mistakes here and there, but he’s the reason the game wasn’t completely out of reach for them.

Looking back at our 1st 10 games

WIN at DC, 0-8 We should have won
Loss vs Atl, 7-3 They are better
Loss at Orl, 6-3 They are better
Loss at Atl, 7-3 They are better
Loss at Cle, 4-4 The ONLY BAD LOSS but it was on the road
Loss at Indy, 6-3 They are better
Loss at Bos, 4-4 They are better
WIN at Tor, 4-5 We are better and played like it
Loss vs Mia, 8-1 They are better
Loss vs Atl, 7-3 They are better

-Our schedule would have been tough with or without Lopez

-We have only had 4 home games and they were hard Mia, Indy, Atl x 2

- As long as we beat the lower level teams we might actually have a chance at the playoffs. We can ease Lopez back into the lineup since our schedule will be alot easier the 2nd half.

by DWILL-of-the-GODZ on Jan 9, 2012 10:05 PM EST reply actions

We should have been able to take one game from the Hawks. Tough to swallow losing to them all 3 times.

Its frustrating but gotta look at the big picture. As long as Brooks keeps getting burn and improves and we beat lower tier teams…I can accept that, especially in light of our circumstances. It’s silly to think we would be doing better with no post presence and no fast break game. So for this season, try to stay afloat until Brook comes back or a huge trade.
