What The Nets need to Do to have a shot at the playoffs

We all know that the playoffs don't seem likely now. However I am one of those guys that are optimistic until the end. I believe this team can make the playoffs as long as we can survive until BLopez comes back in February. When he does I think we will go on a big winning streak to help sneak in. Until then though this is what we need to do.

1. Dwill must play like a superstar. He isnt playing well now and he has even admitted it. For us to win games he must play great. Avery has to play him at pg so that he can be the true distributor that he is. He also is better scoring at point guard. An important part of his offensive game is to post smaller guards up. We need Dwill to average around 20 and 10 for us to competitive.

2. Make open shots. I know it sounds simple but for us it isn't. Dwill could easily have 2 more assists a game if we made open shots. Morrow has to be the lights out shooter he has been historically. Also Shelden Williams and Damion James must make their open shots. If we can make open shots it will open the lane for Dwill and MarShon to drive making it easier for them to score.

3. Guard the 3. We are awful at guarding the 3 ball. Everyone shoots wide open 3s on us. Even the teams that can't shoot the 3 well like Cleveland and Indiana shoot above 50% versus us. We must guard the line better. Damion James is supposed to be a defender but he hasn't lived up to it. He doesn't get over screens well and has poor off ball defense. Also we don't guard stretch 4s well. Jamison kills us open shoots away from the goal. To win games we have to close out better on the 3.

I hope we can pull things together. Getting a win to it would be big. Also hopefully we can get the Heat without Wade or James.
