Nets D-Leaguers Outlast Knicks D-Leaguers in Overtime Contest
The Nets and Knicks D-League affiliates don't have the rivalry their parent clubs have...and will have once the Nets move to Brooklyn. But they certainly showed Thursday night that they enjoy a good barn-burrner. The Armor outlasted the Erie Bayhawks, Allan Houston GM, in a 113-111 thriller in Springfield.
In a game that saw 33 lead changes and 11 ties, neither team was able to mount a double-figure lead. The best players on the court were the Nets and Knicks camp invites. JamesOn Curry continued his great play with 27 points, 19 after halftime. Erie's Devin Green led all scorers with 34 but missed a game-winner at the buzzer in regulation. Only 1,749 fans showed up at the MassMutual Center, with attendance a growing concern.

"It's as sweet as it ever was, I'll tell you. Now, hopefully, we started something and we can win some more championships, but we're going to enjoy this one right now. Have a little champagne." --Julius Erving, May 12, 1976, ABA champion Nets locker room.
