Things are looking up for our Nets!!!

The Nets are on a two-game winning streak!! Now, winning has a natural way of increasing the morale of the fan base, but aside from the Nets' revival, we have several other reasons to be positive about our teams future, no matter what Cavs fans on Fear The Sword say.

1) Deron Williams looks like a whole new man. Against Philly, he carried the team down the stretch and won the game practically on his own. He's become the team's undisputed leader, coining the team motto "I love it" and looking more motivated on court to get good looks and win games for this team. He seems genuinely closer to his teammates, and it's a joy to see him having fun out there on the court.

2) The team as a whole is improving: Kris Humphries was draining 15-18 foot jumpshots yesterday! Anthony Morrow created his own shot, while also hitting his customary threes! Shelden Williams is playing hard and tough down low. Farmar is providing a great spark off the bench. DeShawn Stevenson is playing hard, hitting some open looks, and playing defense. Hell, even Johan Petro made two shots yesterday, including a rare dunk! As a whole, I think this unit is currently better than our mediocre 7-13 record says, and we're improving. Hell, we're on a two game win streak without two of our three best players!

3) It seems Dwight Howard is not happy in Orlando. He called out his teammates after the Magic lost 93-67 to a Hornets team missing Eric Gordon and Chris Kaman, despite Howard's 28-16 effort. It is becoming increasingly obvious that Howard is leaving Orlando, it's simply a matter of when at this point.

4) The Houston Rockets are playing well. Behind the great play of Kyle Lowry, they appear to be headed to the playoffs. This means that the Nets could pick up two top-20 picks in a stacked draft to bring to Brooklyn with us if we don't get Dwight.

5) We still have flexibility and Trade Assets: We have the assets to get Dwight Howard, in Brook Lopez, Marshon Brooks, great draft picks, and expiring contracts.

But here's the kicker: Even if we don't get Dwight in a trade, we, unlike the Lakers, Knicks, etc can simply sign Howard in free agency. Even if we don't get Dwight at all, going into Brooklyn with Brooks, Lopez, and the two draft picks would be an exciting young team to start.

Bottom line: Things are looking up, Nets fans!!
