Bogdanovic Stars in New Arena

B. Petrinovic - Crobasket.org

Bojan Bogdanovic may or may not be in a Nets uniform when the team opens the Barclays Center for basketball in nine months, but if he is, it will be the second arena he helped open this year. The 6'8" swingman scored 17, shooting 5-for-9, as his Fenerbahce Ulker opened its 15,000-seat Ulker Arena in Istanbul.

Bogdanovic was high scorer and the scorer when it was needed in Fener's crucial two-point win over Milano in Euroleague competition. Bogdanovic, over the last five Euroleague contests, is averaging 17.0 points while shooting 12-for-19 from deep.

Nets officials put Bogdanovic's chances of playing for the Nets next season at no better than 50%.

Big Dan can be a nice addition to this team

Skilled, offensive-minded three that can shoot and play off of Howard. Hopefully we’ll be able to bring him over next year.

Even if he is just an improved version of Boki Nachbar

It would be a huge boost to this team. Hell, anybody athletic who can play the three would be a huge boost to this team.

Is he athletic

Boki was athletic but his defense was horrendous.

Boki was nice off the bench for a few threes and dunks.

stronger than Boki

and about as athletic. Very good BBIQ. Chad Ford called him the steal of the draft. Problem is (and I dont understand this), he signed a three-year deal with Fenerbahce (NBA out after year two) just before the Draft. That could change…with some cash but the Nets have already spent $1.5 million (plus their 2013 second rounder) to secure his rights.

We need to sign this summer, I really want to see him how hs game will translate in NBA.

Last season here in Europe he was seen as one of the best european prospects, and many thought he would become one of the best European players this season.
That jump hasn’t happened, he started the season badly, and seems getting better, but still not at the Elite level we all thought he would become.
He had a busy summer, playing in Eurobasket, changed team and country and was drafted in NBA, maybe that have affected him in some way, but his last games have been promising and if he continues to get better, at the end of the season we may see the Boggy Star (at European level of course), that he was promised to be.

2012 Lineup: D-Will - Brooks - AK47 - Lopez - D12... Book it!

12 for 19 from 3

is impressive!
