MarShon Brooks Out Vs. 76ers
The Nets have decided to be cautious and are holding MarShon Brooks out of Wednesday night's game vs. the 76ers in Philadelphia. Brooks had experienced tightness in his left achilles vs. the Bobcats Sunday and he sat vs. the Bulls on Monday. An MRI proved negative and the injury was classified as tendonitis. No indication if Brooks will play at Cleveland on Friday.
Colin Stephenson tweets, "MarShon just came off the floor and shook his head no. 'We'll shoot for Friday' he said".

Sucks, but right decision
With our luck we have to be very cautious
Good better safe than sorry
Becoming more important to this organization day by day. Could get us D12, join D12, or develop and become an allstar possibly in BK.
"We're not there yet, but we're going somewhere," Johnson said. "And we're going to Brooklyn. We're not going to contract. We're going to Brooklyn."
tendonitis, not easy to shake.
take all the time you need.

What I wouldn't give for it to be '03 again
Do feel bad but its business
FredKerber: Brook reiterates no extension is disappointing
"We're not there yet, but we're going somewhere," Johnson said. "And we're going to Brooklyn. We're not going to contract. We're going to Brooklyn."
I like Rush solid wing guy can dribble, pass, shoot, and defend unlike our guards now.
christomasson: Mark Bartelstein, agent for GS’s Brandon Rush, expects no extension by tonite’s deadline: "I don’t think so. We’ll revisit it’’ next summer.

He's a player I thought the Nets should go after in Free Agency this past year
excellent defender, can get to the rim, and has an above average perimeter shot.

Chalk it down as a loss – and FIRE AVERY!
Fire Johnson and hire Van Gundy - I'm telling you Thorn was smoking something when he let Van Gundy slip away in the night.

brook getting bold
NYDNInterNets: Brook Lopez said he’s “disappointed” he didn’t get contract extension, said he knows his worth and doesn’t need validation
"We're not there yet, but we're going somewhere," Johnson said. "And we're going to Brooklyn. We're not going to contract. We're going to Brooklyn."
Sorry but you are injured
With a screw in your foot that has caused Damion James to miss nearly 2 years of basketball.
If you don’t understand why you didn’t get an extension… that’s just crazy. Come back healthy and we’ll talk.
Oh yeah, there’s a chance we want to send you to your favorite place on Earth.

Brook Lopez hinted that he would have liked to be informed of Nets’ decision to not extend him.“It does include me,” Lopez said of decision.
I think it's fine.
I don't blame Bropez
I just hope he comes out like a madman with a HUGE chip on his shoulder when he comes back and keeps that intensity over his career, whether it’s with the Nets or whatever team. He just lacks that intensity to want to take heads off.
Billy King and the rest failed here.
They should have sit down and talked to brook to what the plan was. Now he is upset. Similar to the Favors situation and the best is yet to come when Brooks is involved in trade talks,
