Going to my first Nets game. Any advice on how to meet/take photos with the players?
I've been an international Nets fan for the last ten years or so and just moved to New York this year, which has allowed me to finally watch my team. Anyway, I got front-row tickets to the Nets-Wolves game on February 3rd and was wondering whether it'd be possible to take a picture with or get an autograph from some of the players, coaches, or announcers. Would it be best to arrive at the arena earlier or are they pretty much focused enough during shootaround that they won't make time for fans?

Arrive early and have your camera ready. Most of the players are friendly and willing if they have a free moment.
Some may even come over after they shower if you stay after the game.
Welcome to America!
I think you’d have a better chance if you came early but im not sure since ive never tried it

You have to get there early for the shoot around. At the old Izod Center (Continental) you could get into the arena for shoot around if you were an All-Access card holder. Now, at Prudential, I am not sure. I got to the game this past Sunday by 5.30pm (6pm start) and guys were off the court and then came out to get their pre-game warm-up in. I would suggest being there at least an hour before gametime to be honest….I remember going early at Izod and there would be random guys from both teams shooting around, stretching, etc when nobody was in the arena…..and they would typically sign and take pics. But it depends on the player and if you can get into Prudential Center early enough.
Prudential center lets you in an hour before the game
or an hour and a half for season ticket holders…
Just go to the bottom by the locker room entrances/exits. I believe home is sec. 10 and away is sec. 16.
I have never seen luck getting pictures with opposing teams… but I have with Nets. Its mostly on crappy games they will take pictures (less people)
Just dont ask them to sign the game pamphlet… they seem to dislike that. And remember that they really only sign on the way INTO the lockerroom

Mostly depends where you sit
Because if you have front row seats, it doesn’t matter if your on the other side of the Nets bench. Also make sure you get there as soon as the stadium opens because I was lucky enough to catch D-will before he went back to the locker-room. The other Nets shouldn’t be a problem.
List of players that didn’t give me an autograph and most likely won’t give you one:
Shawne Williams
Marshon Brooks
Kris Humphries
Deshawn Stevenson
Johan Petro( I don’t know why you’d want one from him )
-Justin L.
I met Marshon during the lockout
He was a very friendly guy! He also went to my son’s sleepaway camp for 5 days and played with the kids and signed autographs. He even gave one of his best friends an hour lesson. Anyway i once got an ammo autograph but that’s all i was able to reel in.
from personal experience
A lot of players, whilecoming in from shootaround at about 6:30 for a 7:00 game, when they walk back into the locker room they sign autographs. If possible, you might want to go to social media night cuz they have a post game autograph session for people that bought tickets through the social media code

A more outlandish idea...
This probably won’t get you anywhere, but it won’t hurt.
Reach out to the guys via Twitter and say “Hey, just came to America. Big time fan and first Nets game. Chance I can get an autograph if I arrive for shootaround” You’ll need to condense it to 140.
Most likely you’ll be ignored, but that’s the worse that’ll happen. If really lucky, maybe they’ll reach. Just a suggestion.
Hey get tickets inn section 12. You can move down no problem before shootaround.
Tickets will be about $25 or $30 a peice. If the game starts at 7, get there by 5:30 and be in the stadium as soon as they let you in. I met Ian Eagle, Brooks, Shawne, Damion James, and Sundiata Gaines. This was on opening night on 12/27. If you want really boost your experience get tickets on the section 12 floor risers. Those tickets are $70 each. But I am looking on Stubhub right now for the Raptors game and section 12 are starting at $7 a peice. Have fun and gooooo NetS!
