J-Will: "I’m Totally Happy"
Tim Bontemps drove to Springfield last week to catch up with Jordan Williams, who's now played three games with the Armor, averaging 13.0 points, 8.3 rebounds and assists. It's been a disappointing start for Williams' NBA career, with serious dehydration and conditioning issues. But he's looking at it positively.
"I’m totally happy," he said, talking about both his decision to come out early. "I don’t have any regrets about any part of my decision at all. I thought long and hard about it … it wasn’t a quick decision. I knew going into it that there would up-and-downs that could possibly happen, injuries and stuff like that, and knew this was a possibility."

He is going to be a decent big. He has a good nose for the ball and a nice jumper up to about 15ft. Just has to watch his shape.

When you have to shoot, shoot don't talk.
any nba level talent dominates the d-league
i don’t think this guy is ever coming back up. even terrence williams was putting up triple doubles in his short time there. sean williams was putting up dwight numbers. now that i think about it, if you’re drafted by the nets and your last name is williams, you can pretty much bet on spending some time in the d-league. unless you’re marcus where you just flame out and join the puerto rican league.

He have to step his game up
Getting in shape should not be problem at all

To be successful, apparently Avery's Defense System requires it to be manned by NBA All-Defensive Team.
i didnt watch J will in college..just saw him on preseason action and scrub time...
I didn’t see anything … Horner was a lot better!

Try to youtube clips of him
He was decent could rebound has soft hands and shoot the jumper just needs to get into game shape, but he’s better than Horner and Petro. Also you couldn’t have saw him in preseason becasue he didn’t play lol
"We're not there yet, but we're going somewhere," Johnson said. "And we're going to Brooklyn. We're not going to contract. We're going to Brooklyn."
clearly u haven't seen him play more than a few mins total
How can you even form an opinion on who is better or worse?
It's his own fault for going into training camp out of shape...
No one to blame except for himself.
JKidd Era 2! Starring D.Williams as the lead actor, Avery Johnson as Byron Scott, and Player X as Player Y.
Let the show begin!
he's too short to be a great rebounder.
he’s not an nba player and probably never will be.
Let's see....
Charles Barkley
Dennis Rodman
Paul Millsap
Chuck Hayes
Brandon Bass
and I’m just getting started..

D League---The right place for Jwill, for now...
It is where he should have been once the lockout ended. He needs playing time, and conditioning time. But if we make a move, and lose any more big men, in say a month or so, look for Jwill to return to the big club, in shape and ready to play 5-10 minutes a game. Rebounding translates from college to the pros. If he is still around, next year, he backs up the starting PF or is also the third center, behind Brook (Dwight?) and Okur.

As a Maryland fan...
I truly wish he was at Maryland right now. He was a bright spot on a mediocre team.
I wouldn’t look too much into D-League this season. Young guys need to work stuff out in practice and I recall Avery Johnson commenting how few practices there were due to the hefty schedule. If this were a regular year, I’d maybe look at it more of a death sentence like William H did above.
But given that he needs to develop (plus he needed to recondition himself, which was unfortunately) I think D-League is a good spot for him right now where he’ll have more practice and can work at a pace different than the compact pace of the pros. (Disclaimer: I don’t know how if at all the D-League is compacted due to the lock out.)
for being a second rounder to come in out of shape.
no sense of urgency at all it seems. you’re getting paid the big bucks to play ball~
come on son
