Roof Closes Fast, Plaza Takes Shape
The Nets released two images Tuesday showing tangible progress at Barclays Center. Unlike the images shot from the roof of the adjoining Atlantic Terminal building, these are taken from inside the arena and inside the construction fence.
The first is a view from the inside, from the court, showing the arena roof closing fast. It should be completed by March. The second is a view of the Barclays Center entrance plaza with the glass panels now nearly complete. Fans will be able to see the arena scoreboard from the plaza.
Word is that the Nets "basketball operations campus", the 10,000 square foot, $10 million locker room and practice court area, is also moving quickly.

IMO, BarclaysCenter is way bigger than D12.
Brooklyn Nets will be bigger than any ONE player!

agreed
but having D12 would make this 10 times more successful imo.

can someone tell me if this is possible
Magic get bynum,gasol,first round
Lakers get Howard and Anderson
I mean they have big baby so they might just do that

Not possible
Orlando would also have to dump Turk or someone close to his contract.
Also, why would Orlando get rid of their best 2 players? lol.
Not gonna happen.

If you are Lakers would you do that? Maybe! The only reason why you're relevant is due to advantage of the bigs up front!
Will you go to LA with Kobe and bunch of nobodies if you’re D12? Probably not!
Why? because LA would be locked up with that team with no chance at anything else (0 Flexibility).
Kobe and D12 will not do it on their own, unless they bring Phill Jax back again (might happen!)
D12 needs a great PG to feed him the ball, or play in triangle offense (like Shaq and Kobe did)!
I hear the team is consulting with Deron Williams over the backgrounds for the hoop..
Word is that Deron’s first choice is a babbling brook, his second choice is a fiery volcano and his third choice is the Knicks

To be successful, apparently Avery's Defense System requires it to be manned by NBA All-Defensive Team.
can somebody post these pics in the comments

that's what Deron said about serving time on the Nets

Broussard lost his mind? or is this possible?
Scenario: Los Angeles Clippers trade Blake Griffin and DeAndre Jordan to the Orlando Magic for Dwight Howard and Ryan Anderson
Yes, I went there. I hate to break up the Clippers, a team I have predicted will win the Western Conference. But Howard is the greatest big man in the league by a mile, and the chance to pair him with Chris Paul, arguably the league’s best pure point guard, is just too good to pass up.
How are they trading Jordan again?
He can not be traded this season (pre deadline)!
he cannot be traded til July 1
UNLESS he agrees to the deal.

Thx !!! for the addition!!
UNLESS is huge there …. Why would DeAndre Jordan allow that trade again?
He would basically screw himself and his buddy Blake, and would play with Nelson compared to CP3 and Billups. He would nix that deal like yesterday !!!
Why do that?
It’s like trading Brooks and Brook.

It's not great, but it's not horrible.
In my opinion, Devin has a great future as a writer. A great mix of information, analysis and wit.
The video and picture analysis of individual plays is by far my favorite part of the site- Pruiti was a master and Devin is doing an amazing job picking up the slack
Prediction: By the end of this year, Devin will get the call-up (whether it’s to Grantland or another place).
I hope so, because the Nets will implode when Derong leaves

On the Basketball Operations Campus
Err, locker room – previous articles had it at 12,000 sq. ft., but now it’s described as 10,000 sq. ft. Has it been reduced, or plans changed?
i was told 10,000 a year ago.
there are also offices.

yes, i have been in the practice court area
it isn’t that big, but it will be the first thing you will see when you enter the building, on the left as you enter via the main entrance, on the right as you enter via the VIP entrance.

Ok, thanks
It’s had to get a precise sense of what’s included in the figure, as that seems to include the player’s locker room, Avery’s room, dual pools, weight room, massage room, etc., but the ND article from Feb 2011 had the area at 12,000 sq. ft. so I was just checking.
The Mavs have had the best locker room complex in the league and it reportedly stands at 8,000 sq. ft., so I just want to make sure that our facilities easily blow theirs out of the water. Not just best in class, but amazing.

It’s New York City privilege. Just like the Jets are going to get Peyton Manning, the Nets when they get to Brooklyn will now be major players for Lebron in 2014, the Yankees DESERVED to get Cliff Lee
yea it's kind of ridiculous
it’s in their head that because they are the biggest, most famous city in the country, that they are in the only city in the country of importance. if anyone suggests they’d prefer somewhere else (like Lee did with lowly Philadelphia), they can’t handle it

Any GM not named Otis is a GM I fear as a Nets fan
Despite media reports, it is NOT safe to assume Amare’s contract is unmovable. There’s a sucker born every day and it may not even be Otis. Everyone laughed when Walsh came on board and said he’d get the Knicks under the cap by 2010 — but he did it. Everyone laughed when people said the Knicks would have to gut their team to get Melo and even if they did, it wouldn’t be enough — it was enough. Everyone’s laughing at the D12 to Knicks rumor — we should be somewhat concerned.
The risk of taking Amare may not be worth it for the Magic, but his presence on a bad team looking to make money could be worth the risk. Stat turned that Knicks team into a playoff squad. He could do the same for another young team who has some talent but no leadership. That young team could offer the draft picks Orlando is looking for. Knicks can then turn around and trade Chandler to a contender who may have a player in development who Orlando might like. There’s a number of scenarios in which a D12 to Knicks can happen — enough that we shouldn’t just laugh it off cuz I’m sure Billy King isn’t either.
PANIC TIME!
We got a uni for you!

But I do agree with your basic premise.
Any GM not named Otis is a GM I fear as a Nets fan
The unexpected is what we should be fearing, a third team facilitating a trade nobody anticipated.
