actually i like this...okur can draw perk out the paint

opens things for deron and swag….perkins isnt that quick so he doesn’t recover too well

true for got about iblocka

yea well hopefully attack him and get him in foul trouble….n to attack him go pick and roll with hump…have him thinking while stevenson and okur spot up. the problem is this cant be a steady offense all game :/

Game time!

lets play hard and smart. If Marshon and Deron both have 20+ we win

Marshon and Deron both have 20+

but Durant and Westbrook both have 30+

by i says on Jan 21, 2012 7:48 PM EST up reply actions

wont happen

if westbrook has 30+ they lose no doubt because usually when he does that he is jacking up shots which means Durant isnt touching the ball which means he isnt scoring

Can’t the Nets give Damion a medical release? Which would allow the nets to waive him and his salary wouldnt count against the cap?

Or release him now and not pickup his option next season?

So I was watching Jordan highlights earlier.

the way Marshon lays up the ball looks oddly familiar. This may be a long shot but Marshon has potential to be really good, hopefully he hits the weight room and starts showing his hang time cause that would give the Nets some attention.

NEWARK, N.J. (AP) — New Jersey Nets forward Damion James will have surgery on his right foot and there is no timetable for his return.Nets general manager Billy King said Saturday that the surgery, which will replace a screw in James’ fifth metatarsal, would be performed in Indianapolis on Tuesday by Dr. David Porter.
James had a screw inserted in his fifth metatarsal on Dec. 13, 2010. He aggravated the injury in a game earlier this season.
Nets coach Avery Johnson did not know how long James would be sidelined. He averaged 4.9 points and 4.7 rebounds in seven games, all starts.

No hope.

Looking at 82games.com, Deron Williams doesn’t improve the team’s performance when he’s on the floor.

by Dopeness on Jan 21, 2012 8:49 PM EST reply actions

That's hardly surprising.

He’s shooting 37%, turning it over like crazy and he’s on a really bad team.

by TWilliAM on Jan 21, 2012 8:50 PM EST up reply actions

The on a really bad team part is erased by the statistical measure.

That’s the point. He’s on a really bad team and he doesn’t improve the team’s production when he’s on the floor.

Doesn’t sound like a superstar to me.

by Dopeness on Jan 21, 2012 8:51 PM EST up reply actions

How can he improve their production if they can't make shots?

Besides, we’re talking about a 15 game sample during which he’s performing waaaay below his statisical norms.

Oh pissing blimey there's jam coming out of the walls!

by TWilliAM on Jan 21, 2012 8:54 PM EST up reply actions

Eh.

15 games is an adequate sample.

A team as bad as the Nets should be dramatically better (even if that’s still poor relative to their opponent) with a superstar on the court.

by Dopeness on Jan 21, 2012 8:55 PM EST up reply actions

15 games is an adequate sample.

You have something to back that up?

“A team as bad as the Nets should be dramatically better (even if that’s still poor relative to their opponent) with a superstar on the court.”

Not if a superstar is playing below his statistical norms. This year, he’s producing like Jordan Farmar (in a typical Jordan Farmar season). How could he possibly make his already awful team better in that circumstance?

Oh pissing blimey there's jam coming out of the walls!

by TWilliAM on Jan 21, 2012 8:58 PM EST up reply actions

I hope the Nets lock up Humphries long term

He is such a hustle player and a good guy. Dude goes 100% all the time – I love watching him play. Tough as nails too.

DWill getting owned once again

dude has no right to complain about this team he’s the first one who doesn’t bother to show up, he’s the leader and the guy supposed to set the tone for other.

Deron doesn't make anyone around him better

and just brings zero fire, or leadership, to the floor.

Unwatchable

and Deron has done NOTHING.

by NetsKiNG on Jan 21, 2012 9:04 PM EST reply actions

Look, I am not sure exactly why he is playing like this but

just because your team plays like crap, doesn’t mean you have to also.

I think it's fine.

Also something to note:

So far this season — granted: it’s only 15 (soon to be 16) games — Deron Williams has been consistently outperformed by the point guard he’s playing against.

Were getting granger again? lol

Sources close to the situation say Deron Williams is not on the Nets Free Agency List. They prefer Westbrook, Teague, and Harris.

by ItsAllNets on Jan 21, 2012 9:06 PM EST reply actions

Only down 13.

We got this.
