people don't have to take part if they don't want

but i’d be curious to see the average age, location (north jersey vs. NY vs. central vs. texas?), and ethnic background

Loved the effort

I’m starting to feel better about this team (especially with the Knicks getting beat up against the Raptors across the river). We could have easily won that Hawks game or Cavs game ( if Avery wasn’t so stupid) and might have been looking at 500 if we get the win tonight.

I can't watch the game so I am listening to the audio on my iPhone...this is NOT something I would ever recommend with this team

I would liken it to being a blind man in the middle of an intense battlefield. You see nothing but you can tell something of significance is about to occur. You hear a voice frantically yelling out words like “Petro!”, “Rejected by George!” and “Damien James goes up with it…” you can’t tell what’s going on but you know it’s not going to end well. The only time you feel anything remotely encouraging is when the name “Marshon Brooks” starts popping up…enjoy the gift of sight haha

everyone says start him but just let him come off the bench.

being a “starter” may put added pressure that he doesnt need. i know he’s very composed, but it could. just have him come in like he did this game, with 9:30 left in the first. and just have him play 36 a game.

WHEN YOU DESCRIBE the prototypical NBA center, he is not complete without superlative size, strength and athleticism. He’ll fight for the tough rebounds in the trenches, but is just as quick to burn you with a shot from 15 feet.

Johan Petro possesses all of these skills and more, and bears all the promise of fulfilling his vast potential.

I think I know the main reason we suck so much....

Opp 3pt% 45.7 (worst in nba) and shooting 57.1% tonight (3/3 after i saw this stat). 10 3pters tonight for the pacers and every other night other teams make a ton and we dont make any even though we take a ton

by Nets2410 on Jan 2, 2012 9:45 PM EST via Android app up reply actions

Hate to sound negative so early, but it's really a positive question

did we trade away this year’s draft pick? Because it not we could have a very good trading chip.

by SamsHops on Jan 2, 2012 9:41 PM EST reply actions

we have our own draft pick

and a dwight trade is the absolutely only deal i would send that pick out for, because it looks like we’re gonna be in the top (or bottom, depends on how you look at it) 5 at the very least. maybe top 3 if we see any more injuries.

by shane gayle on Jan 2, 2012 9:44 PM EST up reply actions

so then I feel a lot better moving forward without Dwight hypothetically

But if the nets don’t pick it up in the win column it’s really actually a positive moving forward because you have Lopez who hasn’t played and a great lottery pick in one of the strongest drafts in years. And MarShon who looks reliable moving forward.

Maybe i’m being too positive about my team being blown out constantly but what other mindset would help?

This team is bad

However it isnt THIS bad. I know the plan is to get dwight and im not mad at it however the execution on the floor sucks. The rotations stink, that starting lineup of gaines and dwill is terrible. DERON IS NOT A SG STOP PLAYING HIM AS ONE. We have a SG on the bench whos our leading scorer! Let him start with our ALL STAR PG.

It is a serious consideration though

Ultimately the Magic WILL trade him since they won’t let him walk without getting anything in return. If (when it probably does) come to it, is it a no brainer to trade Marshon? No doubt Magic will be looking for him instead of Morrow. Or say no and lose out on Howard all together? I really doubt he ever makes it to free agency.
