hamberger is gonna say dwight has fell off nets list

and i wouldnt be surprised if he did. how dumb would howard look forcing his way to the worst team in the league off a top 5 team in the east? T-mac was right, ORL is a better team than NJ would be with Dwight.

Knicks lost
Houston won their 3rd in a row, and is 1.5 games out of the playoffs in the West

by Jack Handy Jr on Jan 16, 2012 4:48 PM EST reply actions

I am surprised Houston doesn't have a better record

maybe they have had a tough schedule? I can see them making the playoffs, but the West has too many good teams so maybe not

6-7 is not bad

And Dalembert is coming on with them.
Denver, Utah, Portland all ahead of them in the playoffs, but I can see at least one of them falling back. Memphis is a threat too, but I like the Houston roster.

by Jack Handy Jr on Jan 16, 2012 4:50 PM EST up reply actions

totally unconsciounable

this is just what it is to be a nets fan

nene and butler both accepted less money to avoid the nets
then the dwight trade gets pulled

and now we torture ourselves watching these scrubs who don’t play defense and shelden williams who can’t hit an open layup for his life.
so many frustrating years, this might be the rock bottom for me.

by berber on Jan 16, 2012 4:48 PM EST reply actions

they accepted less money

because the Nets were focus on one player they almost landed. These scrubs are just short term even if the Nets don’t land Dwight.

the avoided us like the plague

but no good players will come here. not even for the most money

Butler didn't sign because

he feared the unknown. Nene was waiting to see who we went with. The nets thought they were getting Howard and Nene resign to the Nuggets

I like this, from the sheridan article
Howard has soured on the idea of joining the Nets this season and missing the playoffs, especially since he could still join the Nets next summer prior to their move to Brooklyn and join a lineup that would include a re-signed Deron Williams, Brook Lopez, MarShon Brooks, Anthony Morrow and the Nets’ lottery pick, which will be a good pick in a well-stocked draft.

That source also said it now appears more likely that Howard will play out the season with the Magic, who improved to 9-3 Monday afternoon by defeating the New York Knicks 102-93 while making 17 3-pointers and getting just 8 points and 10 rebounds from Howard.

Rigged like last years dunk contest

Promote the young stars like Blake

I can’t figure out if D-will has way too much pride or none at all because a good PG would be looking to share the ball with his lights out shooting guard.

Marshon is shooting 50% how are you not giving him the ball ALL GAME?!?

by mytoemytoe on Jan 16, 2012 6:18 PM EST reply actions

Was Avery trying to punish Marshon?

Why did he get no looks in crunch time? The ONE guy who can shoot under pressure and create his own shot in the half court.

WHAT HAPPENED?

Bah.. not much to say..Fire Avery.

agree...

i think several times…Brooks broke the play off to get his isolation. Avery and some of the vets seemed to take notice. However, it’s obvious Brooks just wants to win, and Avery needs to work with him…call some plays for him.

Brooks has proven he can make the extra pass or pass off of penetration, so it’s not like he’s a black hole.

Reasons we lost the game:

1) Referees
2) D Will being awful in the clutch
3) Farmar being awful in the clutch
4) Avery not giving Morrow any mins when we desperately needed a bucket. Avery also didn’t go to Brooks ONCE in crunch time.

Trade Farmar now

He was a good backup PG, until he decides to never pass to Brooks and lose us games

Tough loss but I feel good

about getting win no. 4 on Wednesday against the Warriors.

Blake Griffin is a whiny little moiso

flopping around like a fish and complaining on every call. Dude clearly has his head up his rear.

Meanwhile, I’ve been defending DWIll for the most part this season. This game may be the first one where I truly hold him accountable. It was a close game and we needed our leader to step up and play like the star he is and “the best PG” he proclaims to be.

No more pouting DWill. Look at yourself in the mirror buddy.
