London Calling for D-Will
It's official, USA Basketball has invited Deron Williams to the Olympic Team tryouts. He's one of 20 whose names were released Monday. Williams is among five point guards in the Team USA's pool, which includes Chris Paul, Russell Westbrook, Chauncey Billups and last season's league MVP Derrick Rose.
All included in the tryout list are Blake Griffin and LaMarcus Aldridge, who haven't played for Team USA in either the Olympics or World Championships. Jason Kidd, who was a record 56-0 in international play, is not returning. Williams, of course, won a gold medal at the 2008 Olympics in Beijing, which he has said is his greatest thrill in basketball.

The US won every game by a blowout in 2008
and it’s DWill’s biggest thrill? This is what the psychologists call “low frustration tolerance.”

really
they won the gold medal in the Olympics. Could you be a little less cynical.
And for those who forgot. Spain made a game of it in the second half of the gold medal game.

Correction:
Keep playin like this and Dwill SHOULD be chillin in the US this summer.
He’s played horribly so far this season – even taking into account his performance in PHX. If it continues for the entire year, there is NO WAY he should be considered one of the top12 or 16 USA basketball players.
No Derrick Rose?
Unless he declined to play that’s a head scratcher.

no room, Colangelo loves his vets
He chose almost all the incumbents from 2008-2010 except for Kidd, Prince, Redd, Boozer, and Granger.

Clearly the "deciders"
Haven’t watched any ball this year
by Jron on Jan 16, 2012 3:17 PM EST via mobile reply actions
definitely could see:
Paul
Williams
Bryant
Wade
James
Durant
Melo
Love
Aldridge
Griffin
Howard
and then Rudy, Iggy, or Rose will get the last spot. Right now leaning towards Iggy because in international ball he can play 3 positions easy, defend, slash, facilitate. USA is about to have Dream Team IV this year

something's wrong with Wade
Don’t think he’ll play. They need another shooter to stretch the floor….Anthony Morrow would be perfect.
