Armor Passes Another Milestone

Stay connected for news and updates

A team that went 20-80 in its first two years of existence has a lot of room for milestones. Thursday night in Reno, the Armor won their first game in a D-League Showcase, where every team in the league plays a couple of games in front of 30 GM's and/or scouts.

Preston Knowles, signed earlier this week, hit a three pointer with less than six seconds left to give the Armor a victory and bring its record back to .500. Knowles with 14 was one of six Armor players in double figures. Another arrival this week. Damien Johnson, led the way with 18.

"Bob (MacKinnon) is doing a great job of installing the concepts and style of play that Avery (Johnson) has with the Nets," said Milton Lee, at the game in Springfield. "I am very impressed each time I see Springfield play."
