PrintHey Guys, Seeing as we're constantly throwing crazy( mostly mine) trade/free agent scenarios- why not make a little sport of it? Let's see who ends up with the closest roster prediction to the upcoming 2012-2013 season in Brooklyn. You dont have to go super in depth with bench/role players but those are just bonus points.
I'm more interested to see your starting 5 plus 1st guys off the bench/6th men/3rd big men- basically guys who will contribute and not just ride the pine Bobby Simmons style. So without further ado- I present to you my crazy prediction for the 2012-2013 Brooklyn Nets.
PG- Kyrie Irving ( Via Dwill Trade)/ Gaines
SG-OJ Mayo ( farmar+morrow for mayo)/ Marshon Brooks
SF- Harrison Barnes(Via Draft)/ Damion Jaames/ Deshawn Stevenson
PF-Antawn Jamison ( Via Dwill Trade) Kris Humphries
C- Brook Lopez/ Okur

true, but it's less about Lopez's value and more about finding a great compliment to Dwight.
How about Lopez and Petro for Smith and Pachulia

MKG / James / Shawne

Dwight in free agency
Arenas would need to sign for either the veteran minimum or we could use the MLE on him
Jeff Green might be tough to get but Hump could always resign using his bird rights
That team could compete with the Heat and Bulls and be a real contender from day 1

SG: MarShon Brooks/Matt Barnes/Bogs
SF: Nicolas Batum/Matt Barnes/Bogs
PF: Josh Smith/Jermaine O’neal/Patrick Young
C: Dwight Howard/Jermaine O’neal/Patrick Young
Dwight will play out this season in Orlando and then sign here.
Jason Kidd and Matt Barnes will sign for the vet minimum.
Jermaine O’neal will sign for the 2 year mini-mini MLE.
Patrick Young will be drafted with the Houston pick if they make the playoffs.
Josh Smith and Nicolas Batum will come here at the deadline in a 3 team trade that sends Brook, Farmar, Petro and Shawne Williams to Atlanta, our 1st round pick, Damion James, Jordan Williams and Hinrich to Portland and in that trade Camby goes to Atlanta and Okur goes to Portland.
Boom goes the dynamite.
