James Hosting "Hot Parties" in Houston
Everyone's doing something different during the lockout. Deron Williams, Jordan Farmer, Mario West and Sasha Vujacic has signed overseas. Dan Gadzuric and Bojan Bogdanovic are playing in FIBA's Eurobasket. MarShon Brooks is working out and playing summer ball...and we all know what Kris Humphries is up to.
In Texas, Damion James seems to be having a lot of fun, Besides working out, the 6'8" small forward is hosting parties at the Bambou Club in Houston, which is advertising him as "New Jersey Nets All-Star Forward Damion James". Getting a bit ahead of ourselves, aren't we?

Ahead of ourselves...
…is putting it mildly. But at least the guy’s having fun.

I had high hopes for Damien...
but he seems to be attracted to the night life and party people crowd.
Not a good sign for a young player coming off mutiple injuries who has yet to prove himself in the NBA. I also think he fancies himself a rapper as well. Oh well…

Yeah being young and professional athlete
I can’t see why they would be attracted to the night life and meeting young women. Let’s trade him immediately.

I understand they are young, have money and some fame, and want to have fun...
but it seems the real good players work so hard at the game almost to the point of obsession especially when they are just starting out. They take care of their bodies and avoid the night life and all that comes with that kind of lifestyle.
Partying and becoming a great player don’t usually mix. Damion has a great opportunity to make a lot of money and become the best he can be, but like so many other young athlete’s, especially in the NBA, they piss it away.

I hear you but to be honest
Mostly everybody does it its just that the don’t get caught or pursued as much, but everybody has fun, you should read some of the excerpts from the former Yankee ball boy, even Jeter was a PIMP on the low sending his staff to pick women up while he was in the club and met them outside or in the back.
"We're not there yet, but we're going somewhere," Johnson said. "And we're going to Brooklyn. We're not going to contract. We're going to Brooklyn."
Babe Ruth, Mickey Mantle, Joe Namath...
were also notorious party boys, but they also had immense talent, and were a bit older and established before they started going crazy. I think a player like D.James does not have that immense talent, plus he plays a sport that is very physically demanding, so he must work extra hard if he wants to be a good player in the NBA.
Hope I’m over blowing the situation and James ends up having a long and productive career with the Nets…

It's one thing to host a night at a club
all young professional athletes do something like that, but if he’s doing this on a regular basis then I don’t think it’s a good sign.
what is regular?
to me it seems like 1-3 times a week if that many times a week. we dont know how much he is going out.
the jersey shore doofs: that is regular clubbing and i dont think he is doing that. plus he grew up in east central texas aka no mans lands. so maybe he is trying to finally enjoy the nightlife while home and not hooping in new jersey. maybe he is trying to moonlight as an event promoter/break ground in a record label?

When compared to that other SF on his team, Travis...
D.James could call himself a future Hall of Famer and not be lying…
