MarShon Takes His Game to Shore

MarShon Brooks

Maybe he's just a Jersey Shore kid at heart. Wearing his (controversial?) Nets T-Shirt and accompanied by his Keyport-based personal trainer, Long Branch-born MarShon Brooks worked with a small group of Asbury Park youngsters Wednesday at the Donald Hammary Courts in the shore city.

Brooks spoke to the group of elementary school students about the value of focus --"I isolated myself last summer" -- and school --"I'm going back to get my degree September 4" -- then showed off some of his skills.  No half court shots Wednesday but the academy goes till Saturday.
