Well, At Least Gadzuric Playing Well
Dan Gadzuric may or may not be using Eurobasket to secure a new job on the continent...or he may want to show everyone he still has something left in the tank at age 33. Playing in a "friendly" tournament in his native Netherlands Friday, the 6'11" free agent scored 11 points and grabbed six rebounds vs. Georgia in 15 minutes.
Gadzuric, obtained in the Troy Murphy along with Brandan Wright, followed up with 12 points vs. Villanova on Saturday. The Netherlands play Israel Sunday. The next Eurobasket preliminary with Nets interest is the London Invitational where Team Croatia and Bojan Bogdanovic play in a well-stock group that includes Serbia, France, China, Great Britain and Australia as well as Croatia. It starts Tuesday in the British capital.

I've heard about...
I’ve heard about Deron, Marshon, Gaines, Farmar, Gadzuric, Humphries and Bogdanovic since the lockout. In addition, Sasha and West is gone.
But how about others?
What are Lopez, Outlaw, Morrow doing now? They are our starting. I think they are more important to need more games and practices.
Wright said he would stay the Nets and silence.
Graham? okay…
What about Jordan Williams?
Petro? He is not in the France international team roaster.
1 - D. Williams / J. Farmar / S. Gaines / B. Uzoh
2 - A. Morrow / S. Graham / M. Brooks
3 - T. Outlaw / D.James
4 - K. Humpries / D. Gadzuric / B. Wright / J. Williams
5 - B. Lopez / J. Petro
what I know
i have heard nothing recently re Lopez. He often goes west to his familiy’s digs outside Phoenix…or maybe he’s on vacation.
Outlaw is working out in Starkville, MS. Have not seen anything in a month from him.
Morrow has played in pro-am’s in Charlotte and apparently Atlanta but havent fouind a thing on how he did.
Jordan WIlliams, as we reported, is working out near his home in Torrington, CT. Brandan Wright is doing the same near Nashville.
Petro visited hospitals for the Nets…not on French team.
Thanks
Yeah.. now I saw Morrow’s news after comment this.
It’s a little bit sad for Lopez about nothing working out news.

Gadzooks !!!!!!
He was on the team but he didn’t play too many minutes….I think he played a total of one minute…….
Who besides Lopez has actually logged significant time playing in a Nets uniform? It is like there are no true Nets or Nets team. It is hard for me to really stay interested at this point. Gadzuric should stay in Europe, any NBA salary at this point in his career is a waste of money.

oh I dont know
vets minimum would be fine. backup at both front court positions. he’s not special and he is 33, but he can bring something.
I agree w/NI...
He’s a hustle type banger player……..I’d keep him at V min also….
I have the sense that Brook Lopez and Jordan Williams are being hurt most by the lockout.
If Avery had his say, I think he would be busting their butts about now.
JWill is going to have to be in great shape if he expects Avery to give him any PT. Maybe what JWill needs is funding to pay for travel to tournaments, etc.
And if Brook doesn’t become a more aggressive rebounder to start the season, his lack of training at this time can be blamed. Does anyone really believe that Brook is doing all that he can? Why should Orlando want to trade Dwight for Lopez, if Brook doesn’t demonstrate any strong desire to get better? Even Dwight is training with Hakeem.
big difference
i said I dont know what Lopez is doing. Nor do you. He could be working out with other players including his brothers. I dont know. Maybe he’s on a weight lifing regimen.
i know what Williams is doing.
Stop making grandiose pronouncements based on limited information.
Well then I'll ask ZZone to find out.
I bet you wouldn’t put your money on Lopez busting his butt, if you had to choose one or the other side.
I expressed a question. I didn’t say any one knows the answer to that question.
And if you know that Jordan is “working out” near his home, when is he going to show the rest of us his progress by competing somewhere? JWill in particular has a reputation for being out of shape, and I for one have been more positive than you towards his likelihood to succeed as a Nets player.
jerry, this is tiresome
and typical. you have no idea of the facts and then wildly extrapolate based on your own biases, usually coming up with a worst case scenario.
No one has ever accused Lopez of not being in shape and the fact that a 7-footer can play 246 straight games is a testament to his being in great shape throughout the year. Nagging injuries are often the result of not being in shape. The Nets at the end of the year said that Outlaw and Harris showed up out of shape….never got in shape.
Now, stand down.

I think that Lopez can work his lower body w/ more effort....
He plays as if he is wearing cement shoes……..He could be alot better….
I agree , I don't know that he doesn't.....
I’m not trying to start an argument with you or take the other side to get you frustrated on this beautiful rainy day……….I’m just judging by how I see his effort in the games……..
Why not. Controversy is what NI wants.
Increases interest and participation.
And you didn't respond to the JWill remarks.
I am the more positive one about JWill’s likelihood to succeed as a backup PF for the Nets.
I can't make an assesment on JWILLS effort as of now....but.....
I’m gonna give him the benefit of the doubt that he is going to make the best of this opportunity and become a very good NBA player……He seems like a smart , appreciative kid…..
That's why Lopez is a mediocre player.....
His work ethic /effort/head in the game….suck……
Then why does his game get worse rather than better...??????
He needs to work hard to improve….It’s obvious that he does not do that…..
oh I dont know
a complete summer lost to mononucleosis might be a good start and he didnt get worse in all categories. And once D-Will joined the team, his game improved. Might have something to do with his teammates. In the two months between the acquisition of D-Will and the end of the season, Lopez averaged 22.7, shot 53% and grabbed 6.2 rebounds. Maybe all he needed was some hope. He has been part of 70 wins out of the 246 games he has played…176 losses in three years.
Well , Here's to hoping that Orlando sees him as you do....
We can only hope and pray……..

Yes, the point that NI won't conceed is that we would like Lopez to live up his highest abilities and don't feel he is headed in that direction at the moment.
We want Orlando to feel as good about Brook as NI does. We don’t want Orlando to feel as Chris Sheridan does about Brook (can someone dig up Sheridan’s statement about Brook not being in the discussion for Orlando?)
I was one of Brook’s strongest supporters for being affected by his mono and not being able to train last summer, and Hump’s rebounding making Brook look worse than he was, and the Nets coaching staff taking some responsibility for playing away from the basket. Meanwhile most Nets fans were trashing Brook, until most did a sudden 180 degrees around the time that DWill started playing.
What we do know as a fact is that Dwight is working with Hakeem but we haven’t heard anything about Brook.
Facts are facts.
I agree with you Jerry25....
And I would love to see Lopez play better but I just don’t see it happening…..
How do you know it's a fact
Lopez isn’t training though?

Pez needed a kick in the arse and Avery gave him that
Deron now sets him up better and quaterbacks the team. Now it’s time for Brook to show what he’s made of. No more excuses.
When you have to shoot, shoot don't talk.
Mediocre..??????
Do you think that Lopez is a Star…??
Wishful Thinking.....
I wish it was true and we could keep him with DHoward but I don’t see it in him……
I've always liked Gadzuric.....
Would love to keep him but for as little money as possible….
Why do people think Lopez is not working out?
You know almost nothing about what he is doing. he could be working out harder than any1 on the team for all you know. i can’t believe people are accusing Lopez for not being in shape. The kids never missed a game and i dont believe he’s had any serious injuries. Im pretty sure that means he’s in shape and he will probably continue to stay in shape. He’s a frikin professional NBA player. he wouldn’t have been in here if he hadn’t worked out so why would he quit now?
Nets Mets Giants ALL DAY
He's working out at Disney.....
I took my family there years ago and OMG it’s more of aworkout walking that place than it is fun……Everyone I know who goes there has said the same…..But Lopez probably has a chauffered golf cart so he doesn’t get tired out walking back and forth……..
