Avery Johnson: From Hardship Springs Renewed Dedication
Avery Johnson can't talk about Nets players during the lockout and he didn't in Lubbock, TX, Friday. But he can talks about leadership, which he loves to do.
Johnson told a group of high school sophomores at Texas Tech about how the hardship of losing in 2006 prepared his Mavericks for their 2011 championship run. "That process helped them to prepare so we could have positive results," said Johnson.

helped Mavs to get a better coach, too.
Avery Johnson can go Outlaw himself.
NETS BASKETBALL…. JUST DEAL WITH IT!
Love how you try to claim credit. There ain't no "we" after you was fired.

Flat-out scary statement by AJ.
For one, because only Dirk and Terry remained from ‘his’ Mavs. For another, the ‘hardship’ of losing in 2006 most directly led to the early flameout in 2007 under his watch, not the championship four years later. Lastly, if you’re truly a resourceful leader, I would think you could come up with any of 1001 enlightening little stories from your career basketball experiences instead of going for such a silly reach as his original statement.
