Google Alerts just alerted us to an interview Jordan Farmar did a month ago with ESPN Radio in LA.  Much of the interview with Mark Willard was taken up by a discussion of the value of an owner's commitment.

Farmar told Willard: "He's a cool guy, he's committed to winning. He'll spend the money necessary, do whatever he can  and that's all you want. You know they're moving to Brooklyn so a brand new arena. It's going to be one of the nicest in the world and he's kind of the head of the snake. You know his attitude is that he will put us in the best position he can to be successful.  He's put good people around around us, given us the best facilities, the best meals (the Nets hired a team chef), the travel, whatever we need to try and go out there and be successful. We appreciate what he is".

In talking about his role this past season, Farmar said he enjoyed "running a team, making the decision ... It was a chance to spread my wings."  When playing 30 or more minutes, Farmar averaged 14.4 points, 9.1 assists, 2.7 turnovers, and 43% shooting (Nets 5-13). As a starter, his numbers were 13.7 points, 9.1 assists, 2.6 turnovers and 42% shooting (Nets 4-14).
